The Nashua All-School Reunion is coming up fast,
and fund-raisers continue, including a raffle for
this will be held this Vivian Stover and Pat Hallett
who are holding the beautiful purple and gold quilt
donated by one of the community’s incredible
quilters, Janice Lawrence. Everyone will be
able to buy raffle tickets right up to the reunion,
the third weekend in July (15th, 16th &17). The
next Nashua All-School Reunion meeting will be
February 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Nashua Senior
Citizens Center. All Nashua School alumni and
friends who would like to help are encouraged to

Scotties win in Poplar, but lose Babb

Glasgow was
victorious Saturday night
in Poplar but they lost
Wyatt Babb to an ankle
injury. The freshman went
out late in the first quarter
and returned in street
clothes late in the game.
Glasgow also saw Keigan
Ingram go out with an
ankle injury in the first
quarter but the junior did
return later to help lead the
Scotties to a 63-57 double
overtime win.
“He’s out,” said third-
year Glasgow coach Paul
Yoakam. “He’s our leading
scorer.”
With Babb out,
District 2B Boys
at Glasgow
District 2B Girls
at Glasgow
Yoakam will be looking at
his other players to step
in this weekend and pick
up the void Babb leaves.
Glasgow hosts the District
2B tournament that starts
Thursday night with the
Scotties (8-10, 3-5) taking
on Poplar (5-11, 0-8)
at 6:30. Wolf Point and
Harlem follow.
“We have to get more
contributions from Smith,
Keigan, and Miller,” said
Yoakam. “Hopefully we
can play well defensively to
stay in the game and give
us a chance at the end.”
Yoakam said that his
Scotties have to defend the
three-point line, but more
importantly, limit the
teams to one attempt at the
bucket every trip down the
court.
“That’s been our
strength all year. Anytime
they shoot the three we
have to box out,” he said.
Poplar lives behind
the three-point arc. The
Indians buried 11 treys
against the Scotties
Saturday
“They were 11 for 37
tht night,” said Yoakam.
“They were missing a
player that night also.
Whoever they play we will
be ready.”
Yoakam said that
Babb is pretty down as
he wanted to play at the
district and hopefully
divisional tournaments
since both are in Glasgow.
“He was looking
forward to the opportunity
of playing in front of the
big crowds,” said Yoakam.
“Most guys don’t get that
chance. Anytime you
miss out on playing in
a tournament it’s a big
deal. He wanted that
experience.”
Yoakam has also seen
some good play from KJ
Ingram as he was the sixth
man off the bench.
“He’s slowly gaining
confidence and playing
basketball like he’s
capable,” Yoakam said.
“He’s been the boost for us
the last couple weeks.”
Yoakam is talking
about Joe Bear, who has
not played much this year,
nursing an injury.
Glasgow has the
momentum going into
the tournament after the
Scotties defeated Poplar at
Moccasin Square Garden
Saturday night. Yoakam

within 35-34. Smith’s old-
fashioned three-point play
gave the Scotties a 37-35
lead But Malcom Yellow
Hammer answered with a
three-pointer followed by
Medicine Cloud’s trey.
Miller also had another
bucket after the senior
had missed his first shot.
Glasgow took a 48-47 lead
on Keigan Ingram’s bucket
with 15 seconds to play.
Delray Lily sent the game
into overtime with a free
throw. He missed his first
attempt which would have
given Poplar the win.
Smith scored twice in the
first overtime but Russell
drained a three to keep
the Indians close. Keigan
Ingram went to the foul
line where the junior made
two throws with 1:19 to
play. Lilly tied the game
with his three-point play.
Glasgow had a chance to
win the game, but Miller
missed his shot with 40
seconds to play. Poplar also
missed some shots before
time ran out.
Keigan Ingram gave
the Scotties a 56-54 lead in
the second overtime with
his two free throws with
2:46 to play. Lilly went 1 of
2 from the line 20 seconds
later. Glasgow and Poplar
each had a turnover and
the Scotties missed two
buckets. Russell gave the
Indians a 57-56 lead with
his bucket, but Smith
answered with his bucket.
The Indians turned the ball
over before Miller was put

Threats and Re-threats
We have Russia threatening
Ukraine, China threatening Taiwan,
Iran threatening the world and
someone threatening someone else
in the Middle East, as has been the
case there for 2,000 years. I’m waiting for the time when
California threatens Ohio, New York threatens Texas,
Louisiana threatens the Dominican Republic and Valley
County threatens Iceland.
Joe Biden is threatening the safety and welfare of his
own country. What is happening to our world? Our own
borders are being invaded by unwanted criminal guests
invited by our very own president. But the biggest threat
we are facing today is that Hillary Clinton has made it
clear she wants to run for president....again. Some folks
never learn.
Due to recent news I really don’t think Hillary will
run. With any luck she may get to be president of her
cell-block.
Will we, someday, allow Russia to amass their
military across the Bering Strait from Alaska, a distance
of just 55 miles or so at its narrowest; just five miles short
of the distance from Hinsdale to Dodson. Will NATO
come to our defense? The Soviets have been salivating
over Alaska for a couple hundred years and actually were
there first, if you don’t count the indigenous folks. It’s a
wealth of gold and oil and when Russia wants to knock
down trees or dig for gold and oil they just do it! They
don’t have the hassle of taking years and years to get a
project approved and the millions of dollars it takes to
make an Environmental Impact Statement. Russia, like
China, Just does it!
See, folks, Russia’s president, Comrade Putin is
hell-bent on becoming the world’s strongest leader and
China’s what-cha-ma-call-it Won Hung Lo is threatening
Taiwan just because he can and he, being the ruthless
lunatic he is, wants world dominance for his country.
And bad news for us, they can both do nearly
what they want. I don’t think there would be any of this
threatening if Donald J. Trump hadn’t been railroaded
out of the oval office.
The Afghanistan fiasco and the colossal screw-up at
our southern borders have proven to the world that we
are virtually leaderless. And add that to the confusion of
having one president write Executive Orders that benefit
the country and have his successor negate those good
ones and substitute them with country killing E.O.’s.
It would be like you telling your kids all the rules that
govern your home and then change the rules drastically
every two years.
And there’s more. We’re being over-ridden with
what I call the “just-because-ers” and the “to-be-firsters.”
You know, those folks who got elected to their posts “just
because” of skin color, gender or sexual orientation.
Just because they’re female, Latino, LGBTQ, Negro,
Chinese, Samoan or cro-magnon. We cheer for and vote
the ‘first woman’, the ‘first Negro’, the ‘first Mexican’, the
‘first openly gay’, the ‘first lesbian’, the ‘first trans’. We no
longer elect people for what they can do for us. It’s not
all our fault however. We’re conditioned to not believe
anything a politician tells us. And unfortunately we get
our information from unreliable sources like network
TV stations and the print media that are predominately
owned and operated by extreme left anti-Americans and
woke-joke morons. I like Newsmax.
We don’t learn from our past mistakes like selling
all our scrap metal to Japan before WWII so they could
build ships, planes, tanks etc and challenge us to a war.
Today, we’ve allowed China to take over by buying most
of everything we own that carries the “Made In China”
label. Trillions of US dollars have left this country so
that China could build all sorts of military gear, rockets,
ICBMs and such. Ever wonder what their end game
is? You should. China has infiltrated our colleges and
universities over the past forty years or so with their spy
network they call the “Confucius Institute.” And truth be
known, China is behind this insipid CRT BS.
We need to figure out a way to stop Joe Biden from
killing this country and one way is to support the Convention
of States and another is to see that Dr. Al gets voted for in
the mid-term elections. He’s a good man, friends, and an
America-loving patriot. He knows stuff!
