parents.’

KETCHUP:
A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the
jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked
her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone. ‘Mommy
can’t come to the phone to talk to you right now, she’s
hitting the bottle.’

MORE NUDITY:
A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in
the women’s locker room. When he was spotted, the
room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and
running for cover. The little boy watched in amazement
and then asked, ‘What’s the matter, haven’t you ever
seen a little boy before?’

POLICE:
While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary
school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old.
Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, ‘Are
you a cop?’ ‘Yes,’ I answered and continued writing the
report. ‘My mother said if I ever needed help I should
ask the police. Is that right?’ ‘Yes, that’s right,’ I told her.
‘Well, then,’ she said as she extended her foot toward
me, ‘would you please tie my shoe?’

ELDERLY:
While working for an organization that delivers lunches
to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter
on my afternoon rounds. She was unfailingly intrigued by
the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes,
walkers and wheelchairs. One day I found her staring at
a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself
for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned
and whispered, ‘The tooth fairy will never believe this!’
It blew, and...
While the highest wind speed recorded by Glasgow
NWS at the airport location on Tuesday was a
sustained 40 mph, the highest gust was 70 mph at
the airport location. It had to be a zinger coming down
Cherry Creek Street (better known these days as
(Look for Taylor Storage Lane), knocking out power
at some north side locations. There were also some
reports of a few shingles taking flight in Glasgow.
Meanwhile, over in Phillips County, Ag announcer
Lane Nordlund (at right) went to a bull sale and posted
this on his facebook page:
"I (and everyone else) had never seen the wind blow
as hard is it did in Phillips County, Montana.
Stepping out of my pickup at the Hinman Angus Bull
sale in Malta the wind sent my hat flying in the air
going, what felt like a quarter mile, until a barb on
the bottom wire of a fence stopped it. I had to come
up with a homemade stampede string to keep it on!
While this is humorous it was a down right scary drive
south for about 40 miles. The historic Grandstands at
the Phillips Co. fairgrounds in Dodson couldn’t even
stand up to Mother Nature. Stay safe friends and pray
for rain (with not much wind). Thanks to Kurt Kangas-
American Angus Association for the one photo.
(To see the Phillips County Fair grandstand photo, it
is posted on Lane's facebook page. The photo above
is nothing compared to that!)
