Letter to the Buzz
In response to Joe Yeoman’s Letter
to the Buzz on Tuesday, March 28th
Joe, Thank You for
Recognizing those Veterans
who served in Vietnam.
As a Vietnam Era Veteran,
I was prevented from going due
to the death of my older brother
in August of 1968.
I have always Thanked
and Welcomed those that I
recognized as having served in SE Asia because I felt
it was important that we as brothers should Welcome
them back home. I believe we should carry this tradition
forward and make “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans
Day” every day of the year! Because some of those
veterans may not be a member of the Legion or VFW and
never hear it except from those of us who are still serving
our country as a Member of the Legion or VFW!
From me as the Eastern Zone Commander:
Welcome Home to ALL the Vietnam Veterans in Thank you for your Service!
Eastern Montana!
Thank You for what you did, for Your Service to
our Country, and for what you are still doing.
In Grateful Appreciation and Deep Gratitude,
Ken Simon
