Nursery entrance exam is taken to determine students’ readiness for formal learning and it is
related to social skills, communication skills and motor skills. For instance:

➢ The child should be able to;

• trace over the dotted lines.
• identify few letters, numbers, shapes & colours.
• speak in full complete sentences.
• follow instructions given by the teacher.
❖ The child should be potty trained and able to use the bathroom unassisted.
❖ Parents will not be allowed to sit with their children in the entrance examination room
of Year Nursery.

Year Reception:
Age: 4.8-5.7 years.

➢ Number Sequencing, missing numbers, what comes next (1-20)
➢ Shapes recognition. (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, diamond, oval, heart, star,
crescent)
➢ Colours recognition.
