Module 1: COURSE OVERVIEW

Reflection:

During the conduct of LAC sessions in Learning Delivery Modalities

Course 2 for Teachers, specifically in Module 1, I realized that despite the
spread of COVID-19 in our country, the Department of Education must
continue in educating learners guaranteeing their safety and well-being.
Hence, DepED formulated the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan to
materialize the continuation of quality education for all learners. Embodied in
the LCP are the three learning delivery modalities like Distance Learning,
Blended Learning, and Homeschooling. With this, teachers and school
leaders are given the task to effectively use any of the three learning
modalities appropriate in the community. I also realized that all teachers must
be engaged in collaborative learning sessions in order to solve shared
challenges encountered in the school, as well as to improve their teaching-
learning process and to foster their professional collaborative spirits.

Furthermore, as we go along with the session, I learned that teachers

really play many important roles in the lives of the diverse learners and the
community as a whole. Teachers must still become role models in motivating
and encouraging every single person in order to spread positivity, hope, and
love despite the pandemic. I also learned that teachers must not stop
learning, and must continue to develop and grow professionally in order to
become effective and efficient in facilitating learning for all.

Module 2: MOST ESSENTIAL LEARNING COMPETENCIES (MELCs)

Reflection:

“Education must NOT stop!” is a call to everyone despite of the

situation we are facing today. Teachers as a Frontline of delivering education
must strengthen its commitments to produce holistic and globally competitive
individuals.
The development of the Most Essential Learning Competencies
(MELCs) is a vital part wherein it should be unpacked and combined in
planning and designing the lessons in this new normal. Thus, formulating
activities should be relevant and anchored to the needs of the students in their
present situation to support the Edukalidad program that affirms the
continuous delivery of the quality education to our dear learners.
Hence, the very purpose of why MELC should be developed is to allow
students to study based on their abilities to learn skills or competencies at
their own pace. This method is tailored to meet different learning levels that
can lead to efficient learning outcomes through alternative learning delivery
modalities.
And I Therefore, MELCs were identified according to the gaps, issues
and concerns across learning areas and grade levels. The decisions were
made due to the limited number of school days and the absence of face-to-
face instructions at this time of pandemic. Hence, narrowing down the
learning competencies is the best option the DepEd has come up with.

Module 3A: DESIGNING INSTRUCTION IN THE DIFFERENT LEARNING

DELIVERY MODALITIES

Module 3B: DESIGNING FOR STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

Reflection:
After completing the activities and readings from Module 3, I learned
how to create and implement a blended learning model. It's interesting to see
the outcome of how effective BL models can be! I'm ecstatic with the results
from my students work and can't wait to share my experience with my
colleagues! The only downfall to this, is how time consuming it is. Teachers
are all pressed for time and with the new standards, evaluation system and
curriculum, so it was quite difficult to complete this task. When everything
slows down a bit in the classroom, I will definitely share my successes with
my grade level team!

The only challenge I had throughout this model was completing the
assignments on time. I felt really bad for my partner as I did not submit my
lesson plan on the due date. I'm glad that she was able to get hers to me in a
timely manner and everything worked out in the end. I am so proud of what
my students accomplished through the implementation of the rotation blended
learning model. They were excited as I was when explaining to them the
different stations that they would be experiencing. It shows through their
grades how well this BL model worked!

MODULE 4: PLANNING FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

AND LAC PLANNING

REFLECTION: Professional Self -Assessment

As my self-assessment where I got only the agree level so there's a room for

my improvement. Also, I want to enhance the domain number six the community

linkages and professional engagement. I need to build strong relationship with the

guardians/parents of my students to deliver the quality supervisory among them as

well as with my co mentors in schools.

Module 5: BUILDING THE TEACHING PORTFOLIO RELATED TO THE

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MODALITIES

Reflection:
Portfolios are intended to evaluate learning progress and achievement in a

specific course, by completing my portfolio in LAC sessions about LDMs I can now

be ready for the challenge of the new normal way of teaching. First if I will make my

lessons I can scan my finished portfolio and go to the topic about preparing MELCs.

Then if I will choose what learning resources to be used in my topic I can refer to

Learning Resources topics and how to download it in DepEd portals. My portfolio will

serve as evidences of my teaching and it will clearly show my improvements as well

as the problems I will meet and it will guide me to keep on the right track.
