Indeed, this activity had really helped in many ways it seems and I knew this learning would transcend to that of my students and to the educational system as a whole.

Banda Division: Surigao del Sur Position/Designation: Teacher -I Topic: OVERVIEW OF D.O no. 31 s. 2020 Session No: 1 Insights/Key Take Away/Learning Clarifications/ Questions - In view of the above, teachers must bear in mind the NONE importance of creating a good and well-designed rubric. It must be task-specific, aligned on the content and performance standards, achievable, and most importantly child friendly. These qualities that make a good rubric are beneficial for the students and for us teachers not just on giving a more objective judgement but also to easily assess our students’ strengths and weaknesses. This provides much of the needed information for evaluation and intervention. Even in this new learning set up, students are still required to perform both written and performance-based assessments and that the creation of rubric is really a must. - Furthermore, teachers are also encouraged on creating digitized learning materials in which learners could interact and engage to sort of virtual classes on their own phase with ease thus, letting them to learn even more as all of their senses from listening to viewing were all actively involve. - As such, having attended this LAC Session on “CREATING RUBRIC AND DESIGNING DIGITIZED LEARNING MATERIALS” is a great avenue for us to refresh our learning on creating rubrics and also as way to explore new things such as creating digitized learning materials using various software (Mirosoft Powerpoint & Filmora 9) of which we can utilize for learning to still foster and continue even with such distance.

BAROBO III CAPACITY BUILDING ON ASSESSMENT AND GRADING IN THE
LIGHT OF THE BASIC EDUCATION AND LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN Date: November 03-04, 2020 Venue: Online Delivery PROFESSIONAL REFLECTION Name: Noel B. Banda Division: Surigao del Sur Position/Designation: Teacher -I Topic: PRINCIPLES OF TESTING AND ASSESSMENT Session No: 2 IN CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION Insights/Key Take Away/Learning Clarifications/ Questions NONE This Session 3 on TESTING AND ASSESSMENT IN CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION provides us teachers to reconcile our common mistakes on conducting test/assessments to our students.
Few of these is testing without TOS and providing with
questions from the test to review before taking the test which is entirely inappropriate in assessing students’ learning. This simple slip-up makes students even more dependent towards learning.
As realized, teachers must create or make use of various
assessment tools which can help students improve their strengths and be able to work on their weaknesses.
General Comments and Suggestions:
- The presenter has an excellent way of delivering the content however; I wasn’t able to listen that much due to signal which is constantly fading out.

Banda Division: Surigao del Sur Position/Designation: Teacher -I Topic: WRITING TEST QUESTIONS AND WRITTEN Session No: 4 ASSESSMENT ACROSS COGNITIVE PROCESS DIMENSIONS Insights/Key Take Away/Learning Clarifications/ Questions NONE I feel that there is a need for teachers to look back on the principles of assessment. We must held particular with the content and face validity of the questionnaires or any assessment tools to achieve better results.
I learned about creating questions effectively using the
Cognitive Process Dimensions. In addition, I learned that in making a summative test in Key Stage 7 and up, 25 items are the least number of questions to be made.
I plan to make use of TOS before making the actual test
questions to ensure that all questions included are well distributed or well represents the different objective strands that learners need to hit. Finally, after doing such I will let my colleagues critique the test made for improvement/necessary revisions.
General Comments and Suggestions:

Banda Division: Surigao del Sur Position/Designation: Teacher -I Topic: Session No: 3 PRINCIPLES OF FORMATIVE AND SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT Insights/Key Take Away/Learning Clarifications/ Questions NONE I feel that teachers must be a balance between the use of both summative and formative assessments.
I have learned that there are two types of formative
assessment –the formal and informal formative. However, these assessments are not graded even if rubrics were attached as basis of giving points.
I plan to categorize assessment tools based on types so
that I will be guided on what needs to be recorded and not. In this way, I could focus more on activities (performance tasks) that really is needed to alleviate learning.
