Debut Event Proposal

I. Introduction
Route 50 is a company that arranges, organizes, and customizes different events
like debuts, weddings, birthday celebrations and other events the client might wish. This
company specializes on giving the clients a retro themed event. Route 50 aims to give
its clients a memorable yet unique way of celebrating the important events of their lives.
II. Purpose
Due to the aging time, it is no surprise that people come up with different, weird,
and new ways on how to celebrate special events. But the majority often ends up using
Bohemian themed debuts, black and white weddings, and movie-themed birthday
celebrations. Route 50 came up with the idea of incorporating retro, and new. With a
touch of technology and things millennial love today, added with the colorful vibes of the
1950’s, Route 50 could surely give its client a memorable event to remember.
III. Project Description
Chloe Hufana, a seventeen year old, wishes to celebrate her legality with the
help of Route 50, and have a blast with the retro-themed debut.
Her 18th birthday will be celebrated at Thunderbird Resorts in Poro Point, La
Union. The debutant will arrive in a 1964 Volkwasgen Convertible Beetle, in a light blue
color, at approximately 6 in the evening. She would be wearing a below the knee red off
the shoulder dress, with red stilettos. The venue would be decorated with checkerboard
floors and walls with different old movie posters. Retro-themed gasoline station would
serve as the main decorations for the said event. There will be a photo booth where the
pictures would be Polaroid styled. In addition, a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritx will be
placed near the photo booth as a decoration. For recreation purposes, a billiards area
will be placed near the dining area. Neon lights would serve as the main source of light,
so the vibes would be a 1950’s diner.
The theme would be retro-American, particularly in the 1950’s. With this, the
foods that will be served would be steak, mashed potatoes, clubhouse sandwiches, fruit
shakes, and many more. These would be served using retro-themed glasses and
utensils. Tables would be clothed with checker printed table linens, and the table
napkins would be decorated like that as well. The cake should have Elvis Presley vinyl
decorations and Audrey Hepburn movie posters. It will be a three-tier cake, with red,
black, and a touch of white colors. The background music would be mostly by the King
of Rock.
Before the said event, the invitation would come in a colored red envelope. Inside
would be a vinyl shaped card, with the debutant’s details.
For the souvenirs, the guests will be given a mini-Cadillac with cookies shaped
like vinyl records, and jukebox. Aside from those, an actual vinyl record with the
debutant’s name would also be given to the guests. To top it all up, bow ties will be
given for the men and hair accents for the women.
After the formal ceremony of the debut, a disco ball would drop, and the visitors
would be free to dance on the dance floor.
The ceremony would be as follows:
I. Introduction of the debutant with her parents
II. Opening prayer
III. Opening remarks from the debutant’s parents
IV. Opening remarks from the debutant herself
V. GAMES
VI. 18 red roses
VII. DINNER
