a. Lesson Title
b. Name of Teacher broadcaster
* Avoid mentioning “morning” or “afternoon” in the greetings as some students
may view this on their spare time.
1 min Introduction of the lesson/ Relevance of the lesson to real life
Say: “It’s important for you to learn ________ because you can apply this in
____________(mention the skills learned and in what real-life situations they could
apply the competencies)
Note:
*Just simple greeting.
* No need to reintroduce the name of teacher-broadcaster or the lesson title
*background music ends here (If continued, music may not fit the lesson)
1 min Review
*Focus on the most important skills learned in the previous lesson (1-2 questions
may do)
*Avoid giving multiple choice as it takes much of the time

1 min Pretest – 1 to 2 questions (not necessarily multiple choice)


1 min Motivation/ Spring Board
15 mins Deepening of the lesson including activities
*Include processing questions within the discussion (make it conversational)
*Ask personal questions as to relate the lesson to the students’ experience.
*Ex. Do not wait for the whole text to read before asking the question. Remember,
the cannot reread the info. So, don’t expect them to remember everything.
*Unlock words immediately when needed.

3 mins Assessment
*Minimize/ Avoid questions focused on simple recall.
*Focus more on evaluative where students reflect/ make decisions
*Bring real-life situations in the assessment
1 min Assignment

Points for improvement:

*You may be reading from the script, but the intonation pattern as well as facial expression should be
conversational.
* Be descriptive. Avoid statements like, “Tingnan ang larawang ito. ” Instead, describe what’s in the
picture for the benefit of those listening on the radio.
