GRADE LEVEL: Secondary 2 SEMESTER: 1st Term WEEK: SECOND WEEK CLASS SCHEDULE: (Thursday: 13:30-14:20)

Standard: F 1.2 Follow and understand instructions in manuals, explanations, and what they have read or heard during the
class discussions.
F 1.3 Acquire the skills in getting the main idea, analyze, summarize, interpret, and comment on short stories, books and
movies they have read, watched and listened together with reasons, explanations and samples.
TOPIC COMPARISON OF ADJECTIVES
CONTENTS Vocabulary, Writing, Speaking
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
1. Discussed the basic rules of comparative and superlative adjectives;
OBJECTIVES
2. Formulated an answer through ended questions; and
3. Applied the lesson learned in the class through writing.

MATERIALS Station IM’s , pictures, worksheets, whiteboard marker

1. Greetings
The teacher and students will greet each other with “good morning/afternoon”.

2. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will ask the students to say present if their names will be called.
PRELIMINARIES
3. Energizer/Warm-up
Before starting the class, the teacher will ask the students to stand up and make some stretching and few body
exercises.
( the teacher will solicit some ideas to the students through asking ended questions, he will ask how to compare
adjectives into real life situations.)

PRESENTATION/
VOCABULARY

( After that, the teacher will discuss thoroughly the rules of comparative and superlative adjectives. He will use PowerPoint Presentation to
clearly understand the lesson.

DISCUSSION
(After which, the teacher will discuss the key points of the lesson.)
(After discussion, the students will answer their worksheets and check afterwards.)

PRODUCTION/
APPLICATION
WRAP-UP The teacher will show again the pictures and he will ask them to name each. He will ask them some questions
from the application exercise and the students will answer using the answers presented.

The teacher will use the Socratic Method approach of questioning to encourage the students to speak
and unleash their learning to the fullest.
In order to understand the lesson better, the teacher will let the students ask simple questions from time
to time so that they will they will process the lesson gradually and understand it accurately.

EVALUATION
The teacher encourages the students to speak in order to validate their reading comprehension skills
aside from writing skills.

The teacher gives a worksheet for students to answer in a way to gauge whether they were able to
understand the lesson for them to practice their writing skills.
