a. EQUIPMENT:
- COMPANY approved Herbicide
- Tank hand pump
- Master cartridge organic vapor type
- Chemical hand glove
- Bee Net
- Safety boot
- Emergency kits

b. PERSONNEL CREW :
Personnel required are Supervisor and Worker

2. WORKS SEQUENCE
a. Prepare all equipment to be used for the job such as COMPANY approved herbicide, tank
hand pump and appropriate PPEs.
b. Check tank hand pump condition and ensure that there is no leakage found. Use organic
mask during round up preparation and chemical hand glove when touching round up
package. Carefully read the products MSDS to obtain information on round up (chemicals)
criterias.
c. Pay attention to distance between the operator hand and the distance of hand pump
handle. Use longer handle to accommodate ease of pump handle operation.
d. Observe work area of the land to be sprayed and assess for possibility of hazard such as
snake and bees bites and use appropriate PPE such as safety boot, bee net,
e. Pour water and chemicals to the spray tank and wear organic vapor mask to prevent
chemical vapor hazard. Use chemical hand glove to prevent direct contact with herbicide.
Ensure that the pouring and mixing process is done on flat ground to prevent slippage and
spillage hazard. Always use safety glasses to prevent direct chemical splash to the eyes.
f. Position the body of the operator as ergonomic as possible to prevent bodily injury such as
body strain due to repetitive motion.
g. Ensure that the total weight of the spraying equipment including herbicide does not exceed
15kg.
h. Perform spray testing to ensure that the hose connection is not leaking.
i. Assess land condition to be sprayed and identify potential hazard and perform hazardous
area marking where necessary
j. Perform spraying to the predetermined area. Always use vapor mask to prevent toxic
herbicide vapor.
k. Following spraying activity completion, clean the spray equipment by filling in the spray
pump by clean water mixed with detergent to remove chemicals residue. Always use
chemicals hand glove and organic vapor mask when doing so. Wipe out rust prone area of
the pump. Remove all hand pump connections and pack the equipment into a plastic bag
to prevent foreign material entering the pump parts. Clean out filter tanks.
l. Mark out sprayed area by barricades to prevent any activities done on the same area.
