PROJECT NEED

While many cities now mandate businesses to install CCTV cameras, the barangay, the
Philippines' smallest administrative division, is now compelled to install security systems in
their local districts. Some barangays are currently required to install CCTV due to
regulations enacted by local officials in respective cities or provinces.And in Baranggay
Ibabang Iyam there are no CCTV surveillance system that will monitor what is happening
around the community.

Criminal actions targeting individuals, particularly those who are alone, weak-looking,
women, or anyone they think they can gain something worth with, are also common in
barangays. Even persons driving their cars have been mugged, robbed, and kidnapped in
their own barangay on numerous occasions.
