II. DATE: September 11, 2021 III. VENUE: Science Questers FB group IV. OBJECTIVE: ● To let the SQU members show interests in Science in harnessing their photography skills by capturing unusual and uncommon species that can be found in their localities. V. INTRODUCTION: We tend to take pictures of ourselves, nature, environment and some random things around us. We make use of our gadgets to capture images of life and other things that we usually see. As we celebrate Science Month, this could be a perfect activity for you to go out and see for yourself unique species in your area. By sharing it to the Questers, it will eventually feed everyone’s scientific side and also allow you to introduce to us your locale’s abundance of life. VI. PARTICIPANT/S: SQU Members VII. MATERIALS: ● Camera ● Facebook Application ● Certificates ● Prizes VIII. MECHANICS/ PROCESS: 1. The activity is open to all bonafide members of Science Questers Unlimited (SQU). 2. Participants shall look for a species in their respective locales and take a photo of it. 3. Entries can be taken using cellphone/smartphone camera ONLY. 4. Entries must be raw and fresh photos only. Photo enhancements or any form of edits are not allowed. 5. Each participating student shall send one (1) photo of the species. 6. Participants must observe and follow the IATF protocols mandated by the government upon going out and taking photos outside their homes. 7. Participants must send their entries on or before September 11, 2021 at lnusqu.org@gmail.com and must follow the following format: Image 4:3 ratio, landscape or portrait. A. All entries will be posted to the Science Questers Unlimited Facebook page, and will be open to all of the SQU members for them to have enough time to give reactions and support to the photo of their preference. 9. Entries after the said deadline will no longer be accepted and counted. 10. The entries will be judged according to the following criteria: Originality 40% Unique, authentic, not copied
Artistic merit 30%
Style, color, creative visualization
Composition 20% Arrangement of elements in the frame
Over-all impact 10%
Number of likes and reactions
