TOPIC: ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT OF LEARNER- CENTERED CLASSROOMS

TITLE

FORMS OF LEARNER CENTERED ORGANIZATION PROCEDURE, AND PHYSICAL

STRUCTURE

I believe that a well designed utilization of classroom space is of utmost necessity if the aim is to
be able to manage all learning activities to a successful completion.

Forms of learner – Centered Organization Procedure, and Physical Structure have three
aspects the first one is Room Structuring and the second is Classrooms, Routines and
Procedures and the last is The Social Environment.

Room Structuring is very important to the teacher and student because classroom setup can
help the teacher – student interactions while minimizing distractions.

Classroom Routines and procedures is a series of routine and activities that will be done inside
of the classroom like established discipline by simply stating the rules and policies inside of the
classroom.
The social Environment is one of the important aspects that we will do when we’re going to be a
teacher because the environment can influence the attitude of your students like intellectual,
social, emotional and physical.

Room Structuring

I.             Convenient arranged furniture

a.    The students can easily get distracted if the furniture is messy so as a
teacher we must arrange the furniture so it can’t cause a distraction or
accidents inside of your classrooms.

b.    The students can be easily focused on your lesson because no furniture
can’t distract them.

c.    The teacher can create a harmonious teaching in the class where
students can enjoy themselves and focus on learning.

II.           Flexible seating arrangement

a.    Flexible seating arrangement can create a collaborative learning therefore

the chairs and tables of the students must be arranged that can form into a
lock circle so they can easily move to their respective groups when they have
a group task.

b.    The learners cannot easily be distracted because of the chairs and tables
and also they can interact with their classmates and focus on their task.

III.         Clean noise – free, and fresh classrooms

a.    Students that have fresh classrooms can create a positive vibes during
the lesson.

b.    When classrooms are clean and noisy and students will feel relaxed and
happy and also they will be able to think clearly.

Classroom Routines and Procedures can establish effective classroom routines to keep your
classroom running smoothly and ensure that no time is wasted while Routines and procedures
can help keep your classrooms running smoothly. They can also help minimize the time that
goes by while teaching-learning.

I.             Routines

a.    Is the series of activities that you will do inside of the classrooms.  Classroom
routines can be established for many activities including entering the classrooms
in the morning, transitioning between activities and preparing to leave the
classroom.

b.    The basic procedures for establishing routines remain the same regardless of
the routine procedure that you are teaching your students.

II.           Transitions

a.    Is a change from one state or condition to another,  examples Solving Pre-
Lesson Transition ,Solving Transitions during the Lesson and Solving Post
Lesson Transition.

b.    Transition is important because it can avoid dull moments.

c.    Classroom transition is important when the class is starting and ending.  Also
it can help your students to easily remember the lesson because you have a
smooth flow of your lesson.

III.         Materials

a.    The learners can learn what is the proper way of passing their output and
paper.

b.    The learner must practice independently by telling them the instructions of
how to pass their materials in the teacher desk.

IV.         Group work

V.           Teacher – Led Activities

a.    You must hook the attention of your students during the presentation of your
lesson and the students must participate in the recitation by  using hand signals.

b.    Talking to your students can help you to build a strong relationship.  Help
them when they need materials or questions about the activity.  Understand
some of your students that are too naughty observe behavior of your students
when they have a task during the task until its completed.

VI.         Established classrooms routines

a.    As a teacher, explain to your students the importance of having this routine
and also allow them to ask questions about the routines.  Also act out in detail
what you expect from students when completing a routine.  Break the routine
down and narrate what you are doing. Show them properly by doing step by step
one step at a time.

b.    Once the students understand the routine, have them complete it during the
day.  As you implement the routine, remind students of the proper procedure and
your expectations, making your reminders less detailed until they are able to
complete the task completely on their own.

The Social Environment is composed of students' perceptions about how they are encouraged
to interact with and relate to others.  According to (Huston and Di Petro, 2007) Students
experience the classroom as not just an intellectual space, but also as a social, emotional and
physical environment. Classrooms that subtly or indirectly exclude certain groups of students
tend to be common from the students’ perspectives: students have particularly negative
reactions to instructors who fail to acknowledge consequential local or national events.

I.             Intellectual

a. So as a teacher we need to instill in our mind that we need to consider it

so the students can feel that they are considering their capability.

b. Teachers must receive feedback from your students and also practice
disciplinary skills of your students.

II.           Emotional

a. The teacher should really value the feelings or emotional aspect of each
of your students. Motivation from the teacher can help the students to
encourage them to keep going especially with stereotypes.  Teacher must do
a little background about her students so you can understand what is
happening to them.

b. Students can make a low – risk mistake and this way the teacher can tell
them that it is okay to make a mistake because a mistake can help them to
learn.

III.         Physical

a. Physical interaction between the teacher and student is important

because it can socialize the students.  Also the teacher must treat the
students equally when it comes to physical interactions and online materials.

b. The classroom is free from distraction. Distraction from class can help the
students to ease her problem from home.

Physical Environment is important when it comes to physical classroom condition the students
must have clean and fresh classroom and  noise free. Always make sure that the furniture is
arranged also the seating arrangement the temperature and lightning must be balanced not too
dazzling and dark.

Psychological climates must always have a safe and good relationship between their teacher
and classmates and also always make sure that when students have learned something in the
lessons.
