Environment

To have a smooth conduct of exam, request you to follow these instructions.

Set up the environment (Please do this before you join the call in Microsoft
teams)
• For windows users, please download and install : http://www.amrita.ac.in/seb/win.exe
• For Mac users, please download and install : http://www.amrita.ac.in/seb/mac.dmg

• After installing please open http://www.amrita.ac.in and you will find link1. Click on that and
you should get safe exam browser. Open the browser and see if it is working.

• To close the browser use password “quit”

• If at all you run into a problem, please restart the machine.

• For you to open the browser it will ask you to close all the applications, click continue.

• If you see any certificate issue, click continue.

Step 2: Online proctoring.

Before you start this step disconnect all the calls in your mobile phone. Close WhatsApp/Teams/any video
calling services, please run diagnostics using test.webrtc.org, make sure your microphone and camera
are working.
15 min before the teams call, please login to https://103.10.24.105/poc/ on your mobile phone
only . In the, connection is not private (Chrome), you have to go to advanced, in advanced you will
have an option to proceed/continue.
 • When you see this screen, please enter your name,
then start.
• Start should turn on your front camera
• Once camera is on select room and then click
Connect
• In case you run into a problem, please refresh, or
change browser. We recommend Mozila or
chrome.
• Remember in case you are using teams or any
other audio /video streaming app, this application
will not work.
• Finally, we need to have this view during the exam.

Remember you need to make sure that pre exam environment is set and tested, in case of any problem, please
clarify your doubts in the teams session, remember safe exam browser is required and we don’t have it in linux.
Recommend everyone to use windows or mac for exam.
