Answer the following questions:

1. Discuss your most essential learning in conducting the learning episodes. Were you
able to relate the theories learned from your previous Education Courses? What new
experiences and leaning have you gained from the observations that were not thought
on an of the courses you had from your previous studies? What are your realizations?
(15 points)
The most essential learning for me in conducting the learning episode is the
Learner Diversity:The Community and Home Environment which gives me an
oppurtunity to have more in-depth .look ointo the factors that affect the development of
a learner. It makes me realize that students had a big adjustment in dealing with this
new normal way of learning as well as the teachers. Some of the students doing their
modules by themselves without the help of their parents or anyone especially to the
high school students. Most of their parents are busy in their works and some are
undergraduate that’s why they cant help their children in answering their modules.
There are parents who have a high expectations to their children which result to their
children to be pressure. Some of the parents gives cosequenuences or punishments if
their children didn’t met their expectation.
The teacher also had a big adjustment in this new normal way of
learning because of the pandemic and it is hard for them to recognize how the
students learn their lessons without interaction to them and how the students
performed in their given activities. I there conclude that it was not only hard in the
students in this new way of learning but also in the teacher. They are having a hard
time on how they can be able to teach students in a more productive way. They
always give more considerations to the students because of the situation.
Over all, this new normal of learning had a big impact in our educational
sysytem and the teacher and the students had no choice but to follow it, there are
many barriers and conflicts in this kind of learnings but students, parents as well as
teachers use technology to transmit knowldege and gain knowledge. As of now, stable
internet connection and gadgets are the most essential in learning.

2. Identify at least 5 themes / areas of difficulties encountered in conducting

the first 4 learning episodes of FS1 such as but not limited to time, communication,
respondents, health risks, etc. Discuss your experiences on  each theme and share
how you overcome it. You may identify the reasons/ factors that contribute why you
encounter such difficulties/problems. (25 points)

In conducting the first 4 learning episodes of FS1 there are difficulties I

encountered such as : Communication, Time, Health Risk, Resources, and
respondents.

Communication- Conducting observations in this kind of new normal is not easy

because ut has so many protocols to do. We can’t come to school as well as to the
houses of the students because of the pandemic. One of the school that I observed
ihad a srrict protocols that we cant go inside the campus and cant conduct the
observation if I hadn’t had a letter from the Division Office but eventually there is a
teacher which recognize me and let me conduct the observation. There are some
incidents that I going to conduct it through online and sometimes it hard to observe
thtough online only because the connection was slow and I couldn’t understand what
the teacher answer to my question. It is hard to communicate nowadays but it cant
stop me on conducting observations.
Time- Just like what the example I write in the communication, the school gives me a
limited time to observe for only 20 min. because of the protocol. Some of the buildings
and offices In the school especially to the new buildings had not yet fully observed but
I only glance to it and its hard for me to observe it.

Health Risk- Because of the pandemic due to Covd 19, it was hard to conduct this
kind of observation because we need to interact students, parents as well as some
teachers. It was hard because of the protocols to avoid virus.

Resources- It was hard to counduct this observation because of the limited resources
like fare transportations and the financial resources.

Respondents- respondents is one of the barrier or problem I encounterd in doing this

observation because some of the parents did’nt allow me to interact to their children
because of the health risk.

3.  In one of the learning episodes, you have seen the importance of the application of
the learning theories in the learning process and development of the learners. In the
advent of technology and the shift of learning delivery from face-to-face to
digital/virtual learning environment, do you think we need learning theories which
specifically address digital technologies and online learning? Present arguments to
support your stand. (20)

For me,I think we need learning theories which specifically address

digital technologies and online learning because not all the students, parents and
teachers how technology and online learning had a big impact in students learning
especially now which there are no face to face class. It helps a lot the student and the
teacher to interact with each other in able for them to transmit and gain knowledge and
to meet expections of each other .

4. What do you think is the importance of bridging the gap between theory and
practice in education? Support your answer. (15 points)
For me, the importance of bridging the gap between theory and practice in
education is it helps me to understand more the different situations of the learners and
how they can learn easier by their way of gaining knowledge. I can easily specific if
the way of learning of a student is through socialization or through himself/herself only.
It will be the foundation for understanding how individuals learn as well as a means to
explain, characterize, analyze, and predict learning. A Theory give us in making better
informed judgments about learning design, development, and delivery. Theories are
academic models or frameworks that have been constructed to assist explain or
anticipate certain events.
