Physical Fitness Test
I. Course Outcome : CO2. Assess factors that motivate healthy choices about
physical activity and nutrition behavior as a lifetime pursuit.
II. Learning Outcome/s : LO2.3 Measure individual’s health and skill related
component through physical fitness testing scores.

III. Time Frame : 6 Hours

IV. Introduction:
Physical Fitness Testing is a necessary activity because it will give us information on
the status of over-all physical fitness. The Physical Fitness test will serve as a guide in
determining what PE activities the student will need to improve any physical fitness component
or their physical fitness component in general.

VII. Learning Activities : 1. Home-based Activities


1.1.Read through the hand-outs “Fitness Test” and practice
the following test.

2. School-based Activities
2.1. Perform warm up.

2.2. Perform fitness test (Modified Side Leg Extension, Sit


and Reach, Curl-Up )
2.3. Record the score, the date and have a signature of the
tester and the Instructor.
2.4. Cool-down

3. Home-based Activities
3.1. Practice the three (3) remaining fitness to be tested and
be guided by the procedure given on each test items.

4. School-based Activities
4.1. Perform warm up first.
4.2. Perform fitness test (Regular Push-up/Knee push up,
Vertical Jump Test, T-Test)

4.3. Record the score, the date and have a signature of the
tester and the Instructor.
4.4. Cool-down

5. School-based Activities
5.1 Record the highest and lowest score from each station that
correspond to its given test items and discuss on how to
tabulate the score (see Activity no. 10).

6. Home-based Activities
6.1. Compute their individual performance to get the result of
their Fitness Test.
