Place an order as follows for each system to be updated:

75 41 175 update kit

List the system serial number on the order.

Note: To limit the number of on-site visits, this update should be performed in com-
bination with a planned visit (e.g. maintenance or other UI’s).

NOTICE Read the most recent General Safety Notes and Safety Informa-
tion (CT02-023.860.01.xx.xx) before replacing parts inside the gan-
try.

Tools and auxiliary equipment 2

1. Standard tool kit

Preliminary steps 2

œ Switch off the system.

œ 6ZLWFKRIISRZHUXVLQJWKHRQVLWH2Q2IIVZLWFK

Warning The system has to be switched off completely, using the on-site
ON/OFF switch before working inside the gantry. Make sure that
the system is secured against DFFLGHQWDOVZLWFKRQ.

œ Remove the gantry back cover by opening the screws on the back of the gantry.
œ Remove the funnel by removing the 4 screws, and disconnect X312A to 312D.

Installing the shrink tube 2

CAUTION Follow C-Mos guidelines when touching the receiver.

Failure to follow these guidelines when touching the housing will
destroy the extremely sensitive receiver.

3 œ Connect ESD protection to slipring

ground (e.g 1 Fig. 1).
œ Remove plug of cable W375-S6 (3 Fig.
1).
œ Remove cable ties as necessary(3 Fig. 1)
Note: Do not damage the optical fiber
cable while performing the next steps
( 4 Fig. 1)!

œ Slip the shrink tube onto the cable

œ Use a soldering iron to shrink the tube.

)LJ Shrinking the tube

œ Reattach the receiver cable in

accordance with the original
configuration.
Note: Cable shield should now be
completely isolated against the
holder.
œ Secure the cable with cable ties.

)LJ Receiver connection with isolated cable shield.

œ Install the back funnel and reconnect X312A to 312D.

œ Install the gantry back cover.
œ Install the plexi ring.
œ Switch on the system and perform some test scans.

owner manual.
