GAME NAME: 4 PICS 1 WORD WITH A TWIST!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The students will have to guess one word that lies
in the 4 pictures by filling the blanks with 1 or 4
letters as clues.
2. Upon guessing that word another student will
define that word.
3. Whoever got the correct answer will be given a
reward.

Presentation Activity (5 minutes)

"LET'S PAIRED UP"
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The students will work in pair of their choice and will
be given a die each.
2. Analyze the problem carefully. Fill the table correctly
and answer the questions that follow.

QUESTIONS:
1. If you roll a die once, how many outcomes are
possible?
2. What are those outcomes?
3. How do we call those outcomes?
4. Rolling two dice simultaneously, how many
outcomes are possible?
5. How did you find the answer?

Analysis (3 minutes)
1. Do you find difficulty in accomplishing the activity?
2. What did you notice in doing the activity?
3. What particular topic comes to your mind when you
roll a die?
4. What else can you think of an activity/task indicating
possible outcomes?
5. What qualitative terms can be used to express
probable occurences of events in the activity?
6. Based on the activity, how you describe probability?

Abstraction (20

minutes)
1. What is Probability?
2. What are the basic concepts of probability?
3. What are the different methods of presenting and
organizing the number of occurences of an outcome
in an experiment?
4. Which among the methods of organizing the number
of occurences of an outcome in an experiment is easy
and simple to use? Why or Why not?

GUIDED ACTIVITY:
ILLUSTRATION:
QUESTIONS:
1. What do you think are the students' doing?
2. What are those snacks available in the canteen?
3. How many possible snacks that the 2 students can
buy? Assuming that they will eat a pair of juice and
food.
4. If you are the student in the picture, what snacks
would you like to buy? Why or Why not?

Practice Application "GROUP ACTIVITY"

INSTRUCTIONS:
I. The teacher will group the students into 9 groups.
They will pick their task from the strips of colored
paper.
II. Each group will be given a cartolina and a marker and
will select a reporter to present and report their work.
III. Draw the objects or foods indicated in your assigned
task and determine the number of outcomes by using
any of the methods of arranging the outcome of an
experiment.
