Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
In the first hour : 9th grade students will be able to write at least five physical and personal characteristics of
themselves when it is asked.
In the second hour: 9th grade students will be able to compare write at least five comparative sentences by
using comparative adjectives when given a list of opposite adjectives

At the first hour of the lesson Infographic will be used to teach the vocabularies of the topic. (Personal features
and characteristics). Google forms will also be used to evaluate the students at the end of the first lesson.
At the second hour, Prezi will be used to teach grammar topics (Comparatives
Summary
At the first 15 minutes infographic will be used to teach Personal features and characteristics. In the next 20
fifteen minutes, students will fill out the google form for evaluation in which they are asked to answer
questions related to what they have learned. They are also asked to fill a writing part in the google forms. In
this writing part, they are expected to describe the people given in pictures and also describe themselves in
another question. In the last 5 minutes, students will give reflection to their peers about what they wrote to
describe themselves.
In the second hour, Prezi will be used to teach grammar topics (Comparatives) for the first 25 minutes. In this
Presentation, comparative adjectives and how they are formed in different situations are given. Also, the rule
to form a comparative sentence is given in the presentation.
In the next 15 minutes, students will use comparatives in sentences while talking to their desk-mates
Homework (optional)
Students will write the words they don’t know they
encountered through the lesson and find sentences (From
a dictionary, or from the internet) that has these words.
(They don’t have to write the sentences, they will only read
them.)

At the first 15 minutes of the first lesson infographic will be used to teach Personal features and characteristics.
The teacher will ask what the words may mean while showing the pictures representing the vocabulary items.
In the next 20 fifteen minutes, students will fill out the google form for evaluation. The evaluation form also
works as a repetition of the lesson since it includes four multiple-choice questions and two filling-the-blank
questions. This form also includes a writing part in, which students will later discuss with their friends in the last
five minutes. In the discussion part, students will give reflection to their peers about what they wrote to
describe themselves in their writings.
At the second hour, Prezi will be used to teach grammar topics (Comparatives) for the first 25 minutes. In the
next 15 minutes, students will use comparatives in sentences while talking to their desk-mates.
Back-Up Plan:
The teacher will also print out the materials in case of emergence of problems such as Wi-Fi problems and
crashing of the computer.
