Discussion

LET’S REMEMBER!

Body Parts of Animals

Most animals have three main body parts. These parts are the
head, the abdomen, and the legs. The animal’s head has ears, eyes,
nose, and mouth.

The parts of the head in different animals differ in shape and

size. Some animals have big ears while others have very small eyes.
Animals differ in the shape of their mouth because they eat different
kinds of food. Some animals that eat grass like the cow, carabao,
and goat have mouth with flat teeth. Animals that eat meat have
mouth with sharp teeth. Chicken and birds have beak to cut their
food into pieces.

Animals differ in the size of their abdomen and the number of

their legs. Some animals have special body parts that are not
common to all. Look at these animals and their body parts. Read the
name of the animals and their special body parts.
