Project Title: “GULAYAN PARA SA MAGANDANG KALUSUGAN” Backyard Vegetable

Gardening in the Community

Project Description:

The National Service Training Program-Civic Welfare Training Services (NSTP-CWTS)

Of the Don Honorio Ventura State University planned to Implement Backyard Vegetable
Gardening in Community during this Pandemic. This project will involve the Sangguniang
Kabataan Officials (SK) and the people in the community of Remedios Lubao Pampanga.

The main purpose of this project proposal is to gained knowledge about planting
vegetables seeds and helps the community to plant a vegetable in their backyard. It is a great way
to lessen your groceries. Growing your own vegetables and fruits has a positive environmental
impact as well as it is a great way to save environment. The vegetable was demand particularly
in this time and we are experiencing shortage of some essential goods. The implementation of
this project will benefit the youth and adults in our community that are willing to plant
vegetables seeds in their backyard. This project makes a big help to our community to reduce the
cost of buying expensive vegetable.

Specific Objectives:

At end of the Backyard Vegetable gardening in the whole community of Remedios

Pampanga should be able to:

 To create awareness about backyard gardening.

 To reduce households expenses

 To encourage people to do planting at home during this Pandemic

 To harvest more vegetables

Source of Funding

A fund to be used in implementing this community project is provided by the volunteers

and both financially and donated the basic materials needed.

Time Frame

1st Saturday ( 9-11 am) Discussion about backyard gardening, and the
do’s and don’ts

2nd Saturday (10-11 am) Providing a vegetable seed

3rd Saturday ( 1-2 pm) Monitoring of their seeds or crops
