CRITERIA FOR EVALUATING TEACHER-MADE TEST

Directions: Kindly rate or evaluate the test questions using the rating scale attached herewith
according to the following criteria set forth by Allan S. Cohen and James A. Wollack.

Criteria for Evaluation 4 3 2 1


1. Unfamiliar phrasing was used to test the comprehension of the
pupils/students.
2. All the options were made plausible with each other to attract the
pupils to choose distracters or incorrect responses where only those
with high intellectual level can get the best option.
3. All options were grammatically consistent.
4. Articles “a” and “an” were avoided as the last word in an
incomplete sentence to avoid giving clues to probable answers to
pupils as to whether the best answer starts with a consonant or
vowel.

guessing.
