2. Identify items that you might procrastinate and strategies you will personally use to
fight procrastination.
I would procrastinate about Quiz 1 and 2. Since I have a natural tendency to be anxious
about exams I will be extra nervous for the time-bound exams that are the quizzes. I have
decided to use sticky notes to point out important points in a chapter and write them down.
Writing the points help me remember things better. Also, I would revise the points every
day. This will make me better prepared, cool off my nerves and help me procrastinate less.
3. Which other strategies will you use to help keep you on track or remind you of
upcoming events/tasks?
I have decided to create an Excel sheet for the course important dates and integrate it with
my Google Calendar, having settings of ringing alarms at least 1 hour before completion or
submission of work. This will ensure that I always have a backup last-minute reminder in
case some emergency situation arises. Also, I will use sticky notes around my table to keep
reminding me of upcoming tasks.
4. What do you anticipate happening that could impact this schedule? (e.g., work
schedule, children or self sick, etc.) How will you manage these unplanned moments?
I anticipate I may fall sick during the course of the study. So, it is important that I follow all
deadlines and fix a time for doing the work. This will ensure I do not have backlogged work,
and then I can inform my instructor of my sickness and inability to submit the work.
Email
Subject line: Student Success for Higher Lear course feedback
Dear Paul,
This is my submission for Assignment 1: Email and Course plan. The purpose of this email is
primarily due to its mandatory requirement to be done. Also, I would like to give genuine
feedback on the course so far.
● The course teaches all necessary skills for future courses and other materials which
will be very useful in the future.
● The course is too short and has assignment submissions every two days. This makes
the course assignments slightly cramped and gives less time to students to study.
● I would recommend lengthening the course by a week’s time which will help the
student grasp more about the subject.
I would like to hear any feedback on the work done till now.
Regards,
SIGNATURE
