I. SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of lesson the student will be able to:

1. identify the basic steps, movements and gestures in folk dancing;

2. value the importance of the basic steps, movements and gestures in folk
dancing and;

3. perform the basic steps in folk dancing.

B. Priming/Motivation

The Five Basic Position in Folk Dancing

 The teacher will execute the five basic position in folk dance.
 Then the students will going to observe the execution of the teacher.

Guide Questions:

1. What have you observed in the execution?

2. Have you find it difficult?

3. Where do you think we can use those actions?

C. Lesson Proper

1. Activities

The teacher will demonstrate the basic step in folk dancing. Then
after, the students will execute the basic steps

2. Analysis
 Why do we need to study the basic steps, gestures and movements
in folk dancing?
 As a student, is it important for you to study the basic?
 How this basic steps, gestures and movements help you in your
daily living ?

3. Abstraction
QUOTATION
The students will give their idea and relate the quotation to the topic.

“SUCCESS IS A STAIRCASE, NOT A DOORWAY.”

4. Application

The students will perform the basic steps in folk dancing. And they
will be graded according to this criteria.

Proper execution ----- 5 pts.


Correct counting’s ---- 3 pts.
Synchronization ------- 2 pts

10 pts.
IV. ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION

PAPER AND PENCIL TEST.

The teacher will execute the different basic steps and the students will
identify each basic steps.
