The Government of The Arab Republic of Egypt and the

Government of The Republic of Burundi hereinafter referred to as "The
contracting Parties":
Desiring to further promote friendly relations existing between The
Contracting Parties, wishing to further foster closer cooperation in
matters of mutual interests; and recognizing the need to ensure smooth
movement of officials of The Contracting Parties; hereby agree to the
following:
ARTICLE ( 1 )
Citizens of both Contracting Parties, who are holders of valid
diplomatic, special or service passports may enter into, exit from, transit
through and stay in the territory of the other contracting party without
having to obtain a visa for a period of up to ninety (90) days from the
date of entry.
ARTICLE ( 2 )
- Citizens of both Contracting Parties, holding valid diplomatic, special
or service passports, and assigned to work at diplomatic, consular, or
commercial missions, or any international organization in the territory
of the other contracting party, may enter without visas, but must apply
for residency upon their arrival.
- Family members of persons referred to in paragraph (1) of this Article,
who reside with them and hold valid diplomatic, special or service
passports, may also enter without visas, and must apply for residency
upon their arrival.
ARTICLE ( 3 )
Persons referred to in article (1) of this Agreement shall cross the
border of the other Contracting Party only through any border crossing
point legally open to international traffic.

ARTICLE ( 4 )
This Agreement shall not exempt the citizens of either Contracting
Party who are holders of valid diplomatic, special, or service passports.
Including members of their immediate families accompanying them,
from complying with the domestic laws of the other Contracting Party.
ARTICLE ( 5 )
Either Contracting Party shall reserve the right to refuse entry or stay
in its territory by citizens of the other Contracting Party on grounds of:
a. State Security;
b. Public Order;
c. Public Health;
d. The right to shorten or terminate the stay of such a person in
accordance with laws and regulations of the receiving state.
ARTICLE ( 6 )
The application of this Agreement may be provisionally suspended,
in whole or part, by any of the Contracting Parties on the grounds:
a. State Security;
b. Public Order;
c. Public Heath;
- The Contracting parties shall notify, without delay, through
diplomatic channels, on the imposed restrictions and their revocation, as
soon as the reasons of suspension cease to exist.
- Paragraph (1) and (2) do not affect the right of the other
Contracting Party to similarly provisionally suspend the application of
this Agreement in whole or part, during the period of suspension by the
other Contracting Party.

ARTICLE ( 7 )
- For the purpose of implementation of the present Agreement before
its entry into force, the competent authorities of both Contracting Parties
shall exchange through diplomatic channels specimens of their valid
diplomatic special and service passports.
- In case new documents or amendments to existing diplomatic
special and service passports are introduced, the Contracting Parties shall
inform each other accordingly and deliver through diplomatic channels,
specimens of the new or amended documents at least thirty (30) days
prior to the introduction of these new amended documents.
ARTICLE ( 8 )
This Agreement shall not affect the rights and obligations of the
Contracting Parties derived from other international treaties, to which
they are part.
ARTICLE ( 9 )
Any differences or disputes arising from the interpretation,
application, or implementation of this Agreement shall be settled amicably
by consultations and negotiations between the parties through diplomatic
channels.
ARTICLE ( 10 )
- This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the
last notification exchanged between the Contracting Parties, through
diplomatic channel, confirming the fulfillment of the necessary legal
procedures required to put this Agreement into effect.
- This Agreement is valid for an indefinite period.
- Either Contracting Party may at any time, terminate this Agreement
by submitting a written notice through diplomatic channels to the other Party.
In this Case, the Agreement shall cease to be effective ninety (90) days
after the date of receipt of this notice

Le Gouvernement de la République du Burundi, d’une part, et le
Gouvernement de la République Arabe d’Egypte d’autre part, ci-après
dénommés les «Parties»;
Désireux de promouvoir les relations d’amitié existant entre les deux
Parties Contractantes;
Soucieux d’encourager une coopération davantage pour les questions
d'intérêts mutuel;
Reconnaissant la nécessité d’assurer une circulation fluide des
officiels de chacune des Parties Contractantes;
Sont convenus de ce qui suit:
ARTICLE ( 1 )
Les citoyens de chacune des deux Parties Contractantes détenteurs
dune passeport diplomatiques, spécial ou de service valide sont exemptés
des procédures de visa pour entrer, sortir, séjourner et transiter sur le
territoire de l'autre Partie, à condition que la durée de ce séjour ne
dépasse pas quatre-vingt-dix jours (90).
ARTICLE ( 2 )
- Les citoyens titulaires du passeport diplomatique, spécial ou de
service valide nommes pour travailler dans les Missions Diplomatiques,
Consulaires ou Commerciales ainsi que dans les Organisations
Internationales sur le territoire de l’autre Partie, peuvent entrer et
séjourner sans visa, mais doivent faire la demande de permis de résidence
à leur arrivée.
- Les membres de familles des personnes mentionnées au paragraphe
1 du présent article qui habitent avec eux et titulaires du passeport
diplomatique, spécial ou de service valide, peuvent aussi entrer et
séjourner sans visa, mais doivent faire la demande de permis de résidence
à leur arrivée.
ARTICLE ( 3 )
Les personnes mentionnées à l'article 1er du présent Accord ne
doivent franchir les frontières de l'autre Partie que par tout point de
passage frontalier légal ouvert pour le trafic international.

ARTICLE ( 4 )
Le présent Accord n'exempte pas les citoyens de l'une des Parties
Contractantes titulaires d'un passeport diplomatique, spécial ou de
service valide, y compris les membres de leur familles proches qui les
accompagnent, de respecter les lois nationales de l'autre Partie
Contractante.
ARTICLE ( 5 )
Chacune des Parties Contractantes se réserve le droit de refuser
l'entrée ou le séjour sur son territoire a des citoyens de l’autre Partie
Contractante pour des raisons:
a. De sécurité de l’État;
b. D’ordre publique;
c. De santé publique;
d. De réduire ou de mettre fin au séjour d'une telle personne
conformément aux lois et règlements de l’État d’accueil.
ARTICLE ( 6 )
L’application du présent Accord peut être suspendue totalement ou
en partie par chacune des Parties Contractantes pour des raisons :
a. De sécurité de l’État;
b. D’ordre publique;
c. De santé publique;
- Les Parties Contractantes notifient, sans délais, par voie
diplomatique, les restrictions imposées et leur révocation dès que les
motifs de la suspension cessent d’exister.
- Les paragraphes 1 et 2 ne portent pas atteinte au droit de l’autre
Partie Contractante de suspendre provisoirement, de la même manière,
l’application du présent Accord, en tout ou en partie, pendant la période

ARTICLE ( 7 )
- Aux fins de la mise en œuvre du présent Accord avant son entrée en
vigueur, les autorités compétentes des deux Parties Contractantes
échangeront, par voie diplomatique, des spécimens de leurs passeports
diplomatique, spécial et de service encore valides.
- En cas d'introduction de nouveaux documents ou de modification
des passeports diplomatique, spécial et de service existants, les Parties
Contractantes s'informent mutuellement et transmettent en conséquence
par voie diplomatique, des spécimens des documents nouveaux ou
modifiés au moins trente (30) jours avant la mise en œuvre de ces
mesures.
ARTICLE ( 8 )
L’application du présent Accord n'affecte pas les droits et obligations
des Parties découlant d'autres traités internationaux auxquelles elles sont
parties.
ARTICLE ( 9 )
Tout différend né de l'interprétation, de l'application ou de la mise en
œuvre du présent Accord sera résolu amicalement par des consultations
et négociations entre les Parties par voie diplomatique.
ARTICLE ( 10 )
- Le présent Accord entre en vigueur à la date de la réception par
l’une des Parties de la dernière notification, par voie diplomatique, de
l’accomplissement par l'autre Partie des procédures juridiques internes
requises.
- Le présent Accord est conclu pour une durée illimitée
- Chacune des Parties désireuse de dénoncer le présent Accord est
tenue de notifier sa demande à l'autre Partie par voie diplomatique et par
écrit. Dans ce cas, la dénonciation prendra effet le quatre-vingt-dixième
(90ème) jour à partir de la date d'envoi de cette notification.
