II. RATIONALE
A. BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Many teachers all over the nation at this time are struggling with their own stress,
anxiety and mental health issues as they navigate this new shift in their jobs. Studies
have shown that the new challenging demands of the job industry of teachers really
affects their physical health and mental health, it also causes decreased job satisfaction,
along with feelings of exhaustion, anxiety, and tension.

It is significant to ensure teachers physical health and mental health because teachers
wellness has been related to consistency and steadiness in schools, teaching
effectiveness, and student achievement. Unhealthy teachers can lead to anxious,
unhealthy and unproductive students. Whether we mean it or not, teachers often transmit
their own state of mind, feelings and emotions in the classroom setting.
However, teachers with good health and healthy lifestyle tend to perform better teaching
skills and other related school activities in school than those with poor health.
With the rising issues regarding teachers’ problems in coping with stress, anxiety, and
depression the proponent as the school’s health coordinator think of ways on how to help
her colleagues go through with these issues that can possibly be encounter by each
teacher in the school. The proponent scheduled a Zumba dance exercise every 3:00 pm
to 4:30 pm starting on August 01 to 19, 2022 as an activity to encourage each teacher to
be physically fit and healthy, to release their stress and anxiety and to be more prepare
for the upcoming school year.
B. OBJECTIVE/S
This project is geared towards the following goals:
1. To improve physical health and mental health among Magtanggol Integrated School
Teachers.
2. To encourage teachers to have a healthy lifestyle.
3. To help teachers cope up with stress, anxiety and depression.
Definition of Terms
Physical Health – is defined as the condition of your body, taking into consideration
everything from the absence of disease to fitness level.
Physical health is critical for overall well-being, and can be affected by:
Lifestyle, diet, level of physical activity, and behavior.
Mental Health – includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects
how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to
others, and make healthy choices.
Healthy Lifestyle – is a way of living that lowers the risk of being seriously ill or dying
early.
Stress – is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or
thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body’s reaction
to a challenge or demand.
Anxiety – is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and
physical changes like increased blood pressure. People with anxiety disorders usually
have recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. They may avoid certain situations out of
worry.
Depression – is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you
feel, the way you think and how you act.
III. SCHEME OF IMPLMENTATION

A. STRATEGIES
Conducting Zumba dance exercise.
B. TECHNICAL ASPECT
All Teachers and School Principal are expected to support and participate
on this activity by doing Zumba dance exercise to promote healthy lifestyle and
become physically and mentally ready for the upcoming start of the school year
2022 – 2023 and to continue the whole year round.
C. IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURE
The proponents of this project will cater all the learners having difficulty
in Science based on their outputs given in the said learning area .Then the
remedial activity sheets will be given to them to address their difficulty of
learning in Science.

NARRATIVE REPORT
The teacher implemented PROJECT AGHAM as an intervention in teaching Science

among Grade 7 -10 students who got difficulty in Science during 2rd Quarter SY 2020 - 2021.
The teacher downloaded video clips related to the lesson and follow up the student’s
learning via messenger or phone call. Moreover to address their difficulty in learning science a
remediation activity sheet were given. The table below showed the MPS of the Grade 7 - 10
Learners before and after the Intervention program.

Based on the results of the teacher’s strategies, there is an improvement in the MPS
( Mean Percentage Score) of the students of at least 4% after the intervention.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING
In pursuant to the School Memorandum No. 06, s. 2021, the school conducted an intervention
program entitled : PROJECT AGHAM (Agarang Gabay sa Bata sa HAMon ng Pandemya) that will cater
all the learners having difficulty in Science based on their outputs given in the said learning area .Then
the remedial activity sheets will be given to them to address their difficulty of learning in Science.
