The course is a study of the essential elements of music as they relate to the
development of choral performance skills. Musical learning includes reading

Grade1-3 Through the formal introduction of musical elements, the learner can identify the basic knowledge and skills in choral music
towards self- development, performing with proper posture and with the different classification of voices.
Grade 4-6 Through varied performances, the learner demonstrates understanding of the basic concepts of and processes in choir towards self-
development, the celebration of Filipino cultural identity and the preservation of Philippine Folk Songs.
UNIT I
First Quarter
Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of basic concepts and processes in choir through appreciation, analysis and performance for his/her self-
development, celebration of his/her Filipino cultural identity and diversity, and expansion of his/her world vision.
Performance Standard
Responds appropriately to the pulse of the sounds heard and performs with accuracy of the rhythmic patterns.
