NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE "CONDUCT OF 2022 2nd QUARTER

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL”
JUNE 9, 2022 / 9:00 A.M.

In the compliance to the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. Kataasan Elementary

School participated in the conduct of the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake
Drill (NSED) on June 9, 2022 at exactly 9 o’clock in the morning. The said activity intends to
evaluate the readiness and awareness of learners and DepEd personnel for earthquakes and to
evaluate the communication and coordination mechanisms during evacuation procedures and
responses operations.

Since, the Kataasan Elementary School building is under construction, the learning
modalities are in modular and online. The earthquake drill is conducted at home. The school
DRRM coordinator, Mrs. Karen M. Caole, led the activity through sending messages in their group
chat with the teachers, pupils and their parents at home after participated on the online ceremonial
pressing of the button. Teachers, pupils together with their parents ducked and covered themselves
under the tables. The drill was carried out simultaneously and smoothly.
