will ask the pupils to show on the screen what was asked to bring.
e.g. The facilitator will ask the students to bring food of any kind, the
pupils look for food in their house and show it on their screen. ● Pupils are
given 15 seconds to look for each item, a timer will be presented on the
screen for the pupils to be aware of the time and also to strictly follow the time
limit.
● The items that the students are supposed to bring are related to their
rights as a child.
What to Bring?
▪ A healthy food, any kind (To have enough food, shelter, a healthy
and active body)
▪ An educational book (To have a good education, to develop your
potentials)
▪ A toy or a gaming device or anything that they use to play (To
be given the opportunity for play and leisure)
▪ A picture of your family or show on the screen a family
member who takes care of you (To have a family who will take
care of you)

II. Introduction
Goodmorning and hello girls and boys of Grade 4 - Confidence! Do you
remember us? I’m Teacher Shaz, and I’m Teacher ______, I’m Teacher _____!
It’s nice to see all of you again after 3 weeks, right? Since our last homeroom.
How are you doing? Are you feeling good today? Okay that’s great. If you
noticed, the items we asked you to bring are related to your rights, which we will
be discussing more today. We asked you to bring healthy food, because it is your
right to have enough food, a healthy and active body. We also asked you to bring
a toy because it is your right to play. If you want to know more about these things,
listen and learn from what we are about to discuss today.
Our topic for today is Children’s Rights. Does anyone know what it
means? If no one knows, it is okay because that is the reason why we are here.
We will learn more about your rights, Children’s Rights! Rights are the things that
a person deserves to have, so for the children, since you are still too young to
protect yourself, the law protects your rights because people your age are easily
put in danger.
Children’s rights exist because you, children, need to be protected. As a
child, it is important to be aware of your rights so that you can practice it at an
early age. So let’s learn about it more through this game we prepared about
knowing your rights! Hope you enjoy it ☺

III. Activity Proper

● The activity proper prepared by the facilitator is entitled, “The Game of
Rights”. It is a board game consisting of 20 steps before the finish line. For
the 12 steps, the facilitator prepared questions that are related to the
children’s rights. While for the 8 remaining questions, situational questions will
be given for the pupils to analyze. The “finish” in the board game will be
covered with a question mark so the pupils will not think of just moving
forward for the sake of being in the finish line. The facilitator will also tell the
class to think of their answers really well because they do not know what’s at
the end of the. It will remain a mystery to them and will be revealed on the
screen after the game ends.

● Step by step process:

The facilitators will send the activity worksheet to the class adviser of the
section Grade 4 - Confidence. The worksheet will be posted on their
google classroom days before the facilitation and have it ready by the day
of their homeroom activity. Pupils are allowed to print or draw it.

1. The facilitator will instruct pupils to bring out the worksheet provided for
the homeroom activity.
2. After they bring it out, the facilitator will ask the pupils to find or prepare
a tiny object that they will use in the board game. It will represent
themselves in the board game, the object should be tiny enough to fit
in the boxes.
3. After the students finish drawing and finding a tiny object, the facilitator
will explain the mechanics of the game.
4. Every pupil will start at number 1. For each round, the facilitator will
read the question which will also be flashed on our slides for the
students to see. We will also add pictures to associate it with the
statements and questions.
5. There are 2 types of questions, the true or false statements and the
situational questions. Every slide will only contain a single question. 6.
The pupils will answer simultaneously until we finish all the questions.
Sequence of Questions:
Okay, let’s now start. Are you all ready? Okay. Place your piece on number

3. Are you doing your rights as a child?
4. Based on our activity, did you understand how important these rights
are to you? What do you think will happen if these do not exist?
5. What did you learn in our activity? How will you apply it in your life?

V. Insights
Thank you for your answers, we believe that you really learned so much
from the activity. Humans have a lot of rights and when you grow older, you must
be aware of these because it is your protection from any kind of danger or abuse.
Human rights are different from children’s rights because children like you need
extra protection that adults don’t need. Every child has this, there is no child that
does not have these right, okay? Even the children you do not know, they have it,
and you all have it. Every right that you have is equally important, okay? It is for
your protection and benefit, of course. You need to be protected because you can
easily be put in danger by anyone, and not only that but you are also the future of
our country so we must do our best to let you enjoy your rights.

Your parents and guardian plays a big role in letting you have access to
these rights, okay? So thank them for giving birth to you and taking care of you
since you were a baby, for making you study, giving you a comfortable place to
live in, letting you play, preparing healthy and delicious food for you and many
more. They are also important because they guide you, children like you still need
guidance from adults and of course, they decide what’s best for you.

So as early as now, we are here to teach you these kinds of things so that
you can be aware of it and exercise your rights through small acts, such as
obeying your parents, actively participating for a better community, having an
interest in political discussions, and many more. Also, share this with your friends
or family, let them know what your rights are as a child. Always remember your
rights and be a good citizen of the community, okay?

VI. Integration
Before we end with our session, we will play a video for you to watch and
learn from, it will summarize what we learned from the activity and also help you
understand it more ☺
*play the video*

Other than that, we have prepared a worksheet for you to answer. In the
first column, write the children’s rights you learned today. In the second column,
write ways on how you can exercise your right. Is that clear? Through this
worksheet you will be able to remember what you learned and you can show it to
your guardians and ask them if your answers are correct. Take note, you will
pass this but we hope that you will answer this worksheet to help you be more
familiar with your rights ☺
Thank you so much for listening and for your cooperation! We all had fun
and see you next homeroom, bye! ☺

VII. Closing Prayer

● The facilitator will end the homeroom with a prayer.

Cor Unum Et Anima Una

We thank You, Lord, for the knowledge we learned today.

Please help us to become Your worthy children to glorify You.
To serve our country and our people honestly and honor our parents who
dream of a good future for us.
Oh my Jesus, Please guide us and protect us.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
