Dear Parents,

Following the president’s address, please find important information below:

Kumon Phakalane Centre will remain open until 18th December 2021. We will be closed from the
19th of December until the 8th of January 2022.

We hope that you have already completed the google form, if not we ask that the form may be
returned by Thursday 5pm in order to allow us to plan effectively. This applies to parents who have
not yet communicated their plans.

Please note (as indicated in the enrolment form), Kumon is a 12-month programme, students are
required to do some work every day. Parents are required to communicate with Phakalane Centre
incase a student’s situation changes. Advance notification is important as it allows enough time for
us to notify our head office for reporting purposes.

AWARDS CEREMONY Saturday 4th December 2021, please note;

✓ Parents and students are invited to “walk through” the centre on a first come first served
basis starting at 9am and ending at 1pm.

✓ Due to the on going concerns regarding Covid 19, we will maintain minimal contact.

✓ Please be patient as we will attend to one family at a time, we have not given time slots
because we fear any delay will automatically inconvenience every other family. (However,
justifiable requests will be considered).

✓ Families with more than one child please note; official awards and medals are specifically
for students who have excelled in one or both subjects. While we would like to award every
student, a scenario may arise where only one child has met the criteria. However, each
student will be receiving a special pack and hopefully our very special centre awards.

✓ Please enjoy the few minutes in the centre, check our posters and celebrate all the good
work and impressive effort.
