About This Manual
Purpose
This manual describes the dynamic management functions and operations of the
Multimode BS OMM.

Intended Audience
This manual is intended for:
l Commissioning engineer
l Network operation supervisors
l Maintenance engineers

Prerequisite Skills and Knowledge


Familiarity with the following is required:
l The composition, functions, and working principles of the ZXSDR BSs.
l Composition and common operations of the Multimode BS OMM

Dynamic Management
Overview
Function Overview
The dynamic management module provides you with the man-machine commands
running on the Operation and Maintenance Module for BTS, NodeB and eNodeB (EMS)
and Base Stations (BSs). You can achieve the purpose of resource management by
executing dynamic commands on the specified resource objects.

Figure 1-1 shows the dynamic management main window.

Chapter 2
Executing Dynamic
Management Commands
This procedure describes how to execute dynamic management commands.

Prerequisite
The resource objects of the NEs have been configured through configuration management.

Steps
1. On the EMS client, right-click an OMMB agent NE in the NE tree, and select NE
Management > Start NE Management from the shortcut menu. The NE management
function is enabled.

Note:
After the NE management function is enabled, the icon is displayed on the NE node.

2. In the NE tree, right-click the agent NE node again, and select NE Management >
Dynamic Management from the shortcut menu. The Dynamic Management tab is
displayed.
3. Select an NE under the Subnetwork node, see Figure 2-1.

4. Double-click a dynamic command in the Dynamic Command navigation tree. The


related information is displayed on the right pane, see Figure 2-2.

5. Select the resource to be managed on the right pane.


l All resources in the list are selected by default.
l Click to select all.
l Click to clear all.
6. Click to run the dynamic management commands. The results are displayed in the
Detailed Information of Operation pane at the bottom.

Dynamic Management
Commands
For the dynamic commands of common resources, refer to Table 3-1.

Managed Set Initial Certificate Downloads the initial certificate that is related to the
Network Element CA server from the EMS to the BS.

Query Device Queries the device manufacturer certificate.


Manufacturer Certificate

Query Operator Queries the information about the CA certificate on


Certificate the BS. The information includes topic, serial number,
the start and end dates of the validity period, issuer,
and signature algorithm.

Delete Certificate Deletes the CA certificate from the BS.

Update Certificate Updates the certificate on the BS from the CA server.

Query System User Queries the current user list of the BS, including user
Information names and user levels.

Update System User Provides unified management of system users,


Information including adding users, deleting users, and modifying
user passwords.

Query OMM Access Log Queries the log information that records the operations
of the EMS/LMT connecting to the BS and exiting
the BS. The information includes user name, user
level, operation type, IP address, IP port number, and
operation time.

Clean LMT Modification Clears the LMT data modification flag from the BS.
State

Query NE Connection Queries the information about the EMS or LMT that
are connected to the BS. The information includes
user name, user level, terminal type, IP address, IP
port number, and login time.

Disconnect LMT Shuts down the connection between the specified


LMT and the BS.

Set LMT Authorization Records LMT authorization information, generates


a new authorization file, and replaces the current
authorization file with the new authorization file.

Query LMT Author File Queries the contents in the LMT authorization file,
including user names and user levels.

Open LMT Author Flag Enables the LMT access authentication function. The
users that log in through an LMT are authenticated
based on the records that are contained in the LMT
authorization file.

Close LMT Author Flag Disables the LMT access authentication function.

Query LMT Author Flag Query whether authentication is required for access
of the current LMT.

Set NE Time Sets the system time of the BS.

Query NE Time Queries the system time of the BS.

Query Resource Status Queries resource status of the NE system.

Collect Site Alarms Collects on-site alarm information of all boards.


Information of All Boards

Collect Site Alarms Collects on-site alarm information of all BBUs.


Information of All BBUs

Collect Site Alarms Collects on-site alarm information of all RRUs.


Information of RRUs

Synchronization NE Requests the BS to obtain the system time of the


Time SNTP server through the SNTP protocol, and sets the
time as the system time of the BS.

Query Link State Queries whether the status of the link between the
EMS and the BS is the manual link break state.

Manual Link Break Disconnects the link between the EMS and BS.

Manual Link Restore Restores the link break which is caused by manual
link break, between the EMS and BS.

Query NE Status Queries whether the BS is blocked, and whether flash


memory is writable.

Reset NE Resets the BS.

Unblock NE The EMS sends the command of blocking all the cells
in the BS to the BS.

Unblock System The EMS sends the command of unblocking all the
cells in the BS to the BS.

Reset Radio Mode Resets a mode on the BS without affecting the other
modes.

Reset Product Thread Resets the thread(s) of a mode without affecting the
other modes.

Reset RGPS Resets the external panel receiver of the RGPS, or


resets the external backplane receiver of the RGPS.

Allow Write Flash The warning information collected from the BS is


allowed to write into to a flash memory.

Not Allow Write Flash The warning information collected from the BS is not
allowed to write into to a flash memory.

E1 Query E1 Link Queries an E1 link.

Block E1 Link Blocks an E1 link.

Unblock E1 Link Unblocks an E1 link.

Device Group PA On Starts the power amplifier of the specified RRU.

PA Off Stops the power amplifier of the specified RRU.

Query Carrier Power Queries the power of the carrier in a channel of the
RRU.

Upload RRU Logs Uploads RRU logs.

RF Calibrate Set RF indices and parameters.

Block RRU Channel Blocks an RRU channel (2.0).

Unblock RRU (2.0) Unblocks an RRU channel (2.0).

Query Board Queries the operation of the specified board.

Reset Board Resets the specified board.

Board Hardware Reset Hard resets the specified RRU board.

Block Board Blocks the specified BPL board.

Unblock Board Unblocks the specified BPL board.

Board Master to Slave Performs the active/standby switchover on the


specified boards (CC, PM, and CCC).

Board Power On Powers on the specified board (BPL).

Query Board Power Query the power supply of the board.


Supply

Board Power Off Powers off the specified board (BPL).

Board Power Off Reset Powers off and resets the specified board.

AISG Device Reset AISG Device Controls the AISG device through the AISG protocol
to reset it.

Self Test AISG Device Controls the AISG device through the AISG protocol
to start a self-check.

Clean AISG Device Clears the alarms of the AISG device.

RET Calibrate Controls the RET device through the AISG protocol
for calibration.

Query AISG Device Queries alarm status of the AISG device.


Alarm

Set RET Tilt Sets the tilt of the electrically tuned antenna.

Set Mode Sets the working mode of the tower mounted amplifier
to normal or bypass mode. In bypass mode, the tower
mounted amplifier is disabled. In normal mode, the
tower mounted amplifier is enabled.

Query Gain Queries the gain of the tower mounted amplifier.

Query Mode Queries the working mode of the tower mounted


amplifier.

RET Query Tilt Query Queries the tilt of the electrically tuned antenna.
Mode

Send Configuration Data Sends the configuration data that is provided by the
AISG device provider to the specified AISG device
for upgrade.

Query Wave Trap Type Queries the type of the wave trap.
