NOTES

• Join most rounds with a SLST in the top of beginning stitch unless otherwise noted.
• “In next stitch” does not refer to chain stitches.
• Pattern repeats for each round are marked with (*).
• I highly recommend crocheting over your starting thread as you work the beginning rounds so that you
don’t have to weave it in later. Use a smaller hook to weave in your final end.
• Please read through the stitches and terms section before beginning. All stitches in this pattern are listed
and/or explained in this section unless they are explained within the round. Please refer to this section for
any unexplained stitches.

STITCHES & TERMS

SLST = slip stitch FP = front post

SK = skip BP = back post

CH = chain Popcorn = complete the number of stitches into the


stitch or space indicated, then drop the loop from the
SC = single crochet hook, place the hook in the first stitch of the popcorn
set, grab the dropped loop, and pull it through
DC = double crochet
Cluster = holding back the last loop of all stitches in
TC = triple crochet
cluster set, complete the number of stitches into the
DTR = double treble crochet (yarn over 3x) stitch or space indicated, then y.o. and pull through
all loops on hook
CSDC = chainless starting double crochet
Sc2tog = insert hook in stitch or space indicated,
CSTC = chainless starting triple crochet = crochet draw up a loop, insert hook in next stitch or space
this stitch as you would a CSDC, but pull up the indicated, draw up another loop, y.o., draw through
loop to the height of a TC. all loops on hook

BL = back loop

BLO = back loop only

1 CSDC, 15 DC into the circle. Join. 16 DC

2 CH 1, FPDC around first stitch, 2 DC in next stitch, *FPDC around next stitch, 2 8 FPDC, 16 DC
DC in next stitch* around. Join.

3 FP-SLST around first FPDC, CSDC—first FPDC made, CH 5, FPDC around 16 FPDC, 8 spaces
same stitch, *(FPDC, CH 5, FPDC) around next FPDC* around. Join. Mark the
2nd and 3rd FPDC’s together for round 6.

4 SLST into first space, CH 1, 6 SC in same space, *6 SC in next space* around. 48 SC


Join.

5 CSDC, *DC in next stitch* around. Join. 48 DC

6 CH 1, BPDC around each of the first 2 stitches, FPDC around each of the next 2 16 FP-DTR, 16 FPDC,

marked stitches of round 3 (as if the marked FPDC’s are one stitch), *BPDC
