Exam Requirements

Presently, I am working towards the procurement of my B.A. in Elementary Education. I

will be continuing my educational endeavors at UNLV. Further, I intend on obtaining my Teacher

Licensure in order to teach in the state of Nevada. Therefore, it is imperative that I pass the

Praxis Core Examination. The passing score for the Praxis Core Examination in Nevada for

Math, Reading, and Writing are as follows: Math - 150, Reading - 156, Writing - 162.

Exam Preparation

Prior to taking the preparatory Praxis Core Examination, I had completed a preliminary

course on Canvas designed to prepare one for the Praxis Core Examination. Unfortunately, my

preparation ceases there. Recently, I have been suffering from illness, ultimately affecting my

efforts to study. However, I plan on reviewing the various websites provided once in good health.

Exam Results

In Mathematics, I scored in the 83% range, which means I am likely to pass the

Mathematics section when I take the official Praxis Core Exam. Further, in Reading, I scored in

the 61% range, which means I am unlikely to pass the Reading section when I take the official

Praxis Core Exam. Lastly, in Writing, I scored in the 70% range, which means I am on the

borderline of passing the Writing section when I take the official Praxis Core Examination.

Future Exam Preparation

As I approach the Praxis Core Examination, I plan on hiring a tutor. Paying for a tutor is

an excellent investment in my future. The Praxis Core Exam is extremely important, I want to set
myself up for success. Aforementioned, I will utilize the preparatory websites that have been

provided to me. Lastly, I will purchase any necessary study books.
