Program Educational Objectives(PEOs)


PEO1 CU Agriculture graduates will be well prepared for successful careers in the profession or in research & innovation at a company
and/or in government in one or more of discipline of agriculture and/ or sub-disciplines of agriculture i.e. horticulture, plant
breeding, plant pathology, post-harvest technologies, etc
PEO2 CU Agriculture graduates will be academically prepared to provide feasible and sustainable solutions for real-life problems; and
become licensed professional agriculturist in due course and will contribute effectively in service of humankind.
PEO3 CU Agriculture graduates will be engaged in professional activities to enhance their own stature and will bring creative, innovative,
and ethical, ecologically-derived, systems-level approaches to solving global problems.
PEO4 CU Agriculture graduates will be successful in higher education in agriculture and in management, if pursued.

PEO5 CU Agriculture graduates will be able to recognize and examine the relationships between inputs and outputs in their agricultural
field to make effective and profitable decisions.

Program Specific OutComes(PSOs)


PSO1 CU BSc Agriculture graduates will be prepared to contribute effectively in areas of crop production, crop protection, crop
improvement & farm enterprises, promoting. eco-friendly techniques for sustainable agriculture and efficient use of water
resource, farm waste disposal and integrated farming systems.
PSO2 CU BSc Agriculture graduates will be inculcated traits of critical thinking, development of digital technology usage skills, leadership
and lifelong learning, human values and professional ethics
PSO3 CU BSc Agriculture graduates will be able to provide technically feasible, economically viable and environmentally sustainable
solutions to regional, national and global real-life problems for benefit of farming community and benefitting respective
organization and the profession.

PO1 Apply the knowledge of soil, crops, water, nutrient theories and their fundamental practices to overcome production constraints in
agriculture (Standard package of practices Knowledge)
PO2 Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex agriculture problems reaching eco-friendly conclusions using
principles of crop production, crop improvement, crop protection and farm management for higher productivity and profitability

PO3 To formulate strategies directed towards the increasing area under crop cultivation by over-coming biotic and abiotic stresses,
improving the quality of seed, soil, water or other processes that to meet the specified needs with appropriate considerations for
sustainability (Planning solutions)
PO4 Encouraging and implementing research based results in various extension activities to farmers’ usage and adopting suitable crop
rotations, cropping schemes and cropping systems under different agro-ecological conditions (Specific recommendation to higher
productivity)
PO5 To know the use of continuous improved digital tools used in modern agriculture, farm machinery and plethora of relevant data for
uplifting the quality and quantity of farm produce (Modern tool usage).

PO6 To apply the reasoning within frame of principles of soil management and field crop production for decision making to figure
out the best way in the truth of agriculture (The agronomist and society)
PO7 Understand the global impact of the professional agronomic solutions and of agricultural expansion there by realizing the need for
new sustainable and efficient practices/technologies that the anticipated second doubling of agricultural productivity may have

PO8 Applying the values and norms of farming practices, resource management, food processing, distribution, trade, and consumption.
Also ethical analysis of the concerns arising of emerging issues related to farm practices and the structure of the agri-food system

providing technical advisory on irrigation, farming and financing model/mechanism that are appropriate to the beneficiaries
