WORDS TERMS

- belong to/specific to GL - belong to/specific to LSP


- used in everyday comm. by anyone - used in professional settings by (semi)specialists
- have multiple meanings - designate 1 concept in a specific field => have a
- meaning can vary a lot according to the much higher degree of precision; not context-
context (change meaning according to the dependent (preserve the same meaning in a
context they are used in) given domain)
- a combination of letters/words - more varied linguistic expression (+symbols,
acronyms, formulae, alphanumerical, etc.)
- occur in a wide range of lexical collocations - occur in relatively fixed & limited lexical
