I. OBJECTIVES
 
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
1. Identify the three degrees of adjectives.
2. Compare things, people, events, and ideas using a degree of adjectives.
3. Construct sentences using a Degree of Adjectives.

I. LESSON PROCEDURES
A. Activity (Spelling)
Direction: Spell the following words.
1. Pretty
2. Industrious
3. Healthy
4. Large
5. Expensive

B. Analysis
Direction: Read the sentences then underline the adjective.
1. The girl is pretty.
2. Alan is more industrious than his brother.
3. Mrs. Reyes is healthier than Mrs. Santos.
4. Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System.
5. My necklace is expensive.
 
C.Abstraction
Ask three pupils of different height to stand in front of the class. Describe their height using
Degree of Comparison of regular verbs.

3 Degrees of Adjectives
1. Positive Degree describes a person, place, and things.
2. The Comparative Degree compares two persons, places, or things.
3. The Superlative Degree compares more than two persons, places or things. We add ‘est’ or
most to the adjective.
