1) Inspect the work area. Be aware of the

surrounding to prevent injury.
a) Team leader or PIC to conduct TBT briefing before carry-
ing out the job.
b) The operator must focus on the working environment and
load.
c) Observe surrounding working area and eliminate foresee-
able hazards.
d) Ensure that the load does not pass close to or over staff.

2) Inspect the equipment and material.
a) Ensure all materials, tools and equipment are in good
working condition.
b) Ensure the operators must have good training and expe-
rience to operate these kinds of winches.
c) Inspect the winch for any visible damage.
d) Inspect all operator controls and ensure they are func-
tional (i.e. levers move as intended, are not bent or miss-
ing).
e) Inspect all areas for evidence of hydraulic oil or other
fluid leaks.
f) Visually inspect all components.

3) On completion of power tooling.
a) After staging has been completed, the PIC or
operator will inspect the equipment.
b) Do proper housekeeping.
c) Ensure that the winch frame and chassis is
free from damage such as cracks or
corrosion, wire ropes should be inspected be-
fore and after job completion.

4) Start of operation.
a) The team leader or PIC needs to check the area
where he needs to do work and organize tasks with
the crew
b) The operator must focus on the working environ-
ment and load.
c) Observe surrounding working area and eliminate
foreseeable hazards.
d) Ensuring the load never passes near or over per-
sonnel or workstations
f) Do not modify the air winch & man riding.
g) Ensure that the load is balanced during lifting.
h) Do not lift or lower the load suddenly.
j) Do not overload the air winch.
k) CAUTION Never winch or proceed pass when
there are less than 3 wraps of wire rope around the
winch drum.
l) Ensure the “Canvas bag” is used to lift up the mate-
rials.
m) Always ensure clear communication between the
machine operator and other personnel involved with
the task.

.‫ز) تأكد من أن الحمولة متوازنة أثناء الرفع‬
.‫ح) ال ترفع أو تخفض الحمل فجأة‬
.‫ي) ال تفرط في تحميل الرافعة الهوائية‬
