I. OBJECTIVES:
Cognitive : Find the perimeter of any given closed figure.
Affective : Develop the love for Math among the learners through a story.
Psychomotor : Measure the perimeter of any given closed figure using appropriate
tools.

A. Preliminary Activities (Day 1)
1. Drill
-Conduct a drill on adding and multiplying numbers mentally.

2. Review
-Ask what unit of measurement and measuring tool is appropriate for the
following:
- distance between buildings - length of a ballpen

- length of a safety pin - sides of the blackboard

-“Who is your favorite Filipino Super hero?”, “What kind of power is
he/she has?”, “If you will be given a chance to become a super hero, who

V. ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY
- Read, analyze and solve the word problem.

The tablecloth of a reading table in your classroom has a length of 95 cm and a width
of 55 cm. your group is assigned to decorate the table cloth by putting lace around it. How
many centimeters of lace do they need?
