IA WEEK 2022
Narrative Report

The Association of Students in Industrial Arts Club has prepared activities for this year’s
celebration of IA Week. This is one way to develop a sense of community and camaraderie
among the faculty members and students of TECH-VOC IA Strand.

To commence the celebration of this year’s IA Week, an opening ceremony was held last
March 14 - 18, 2022 through the video-conferencing platform, Google Meet where the
guidelines and mechanics of the planned-out activities were discussed. Grade 11 and Grade
12 students are the target participants. Interested students were asked to submit their entries
or outputs through the Google Form provided by the assigned club, with their parents’
consent forms as attachments.

March 14, 2022 at 1:00PM, an internal event was conducted through Google Meet to
hold the Resistor Color Coding Competition. Interested students were asked to participate
held in two categories to make sure that it was really interactive used gamified apps, called
Kahoot.

At 03:00 PM of the same date, the program ended with 6 winners in two categories then
carried out on the same video conferencing platform. Attended by the facilitating adviser and
officers, the participants and board of judges.

From 1:00 PM to mid-afternoon of March 15, 2022, activities to showcase CHIEFS’ wit,
knowledge and expanse of vocabulary were carried out—Quiz Bee C o m p e t i t i o n t h r u
g a m i f i e d a p p s Q U I Z I Z a d m i n i s t e r e d b y S i r E d w i n B , A g o c o y . The Quiz Bee
competition were divided into three (3) rounds- Easy, Average and Hard level. The
facilitating adviser threw ten (10) questions per round and participants were asked to interact
and respond using their phone. Mr. Nowitzki Jay Lico from EIM 11-1A bagged the first
place and Kim Congayo from MACHINING 11-1P ended up in the second place.
March 16 and 17, 2021 was the continuation of the strand celebration which commenced
through the Orientation and mechanics administered by Ma’am Pam and after that Multi-
tester Reading skill activity continued. The Participants were grouped and utilized the Kahoot
App on the following day for Quiz Bee in DOMRAC.

The strand week celebration would not be complete without taking the Awarding of E-
CERTIFICATES to the winners on the closing Program of the IA WEEK held last March 18,
2022.
