Objective: Students will make an elevator pitch video to demonstrate their ability to
communicate orally their:
1. business idea, or
2. personal project, or
3. good cause.
The purpose is to get funds to finance their idea, project or cause.
Students will use the model elevator pitch we studied in class as a guide.

Students will apply authentic vocabulary and grammar for their elevator pitch.
“Authentic” means the students decide the lexical structures they use for their pitch.
INSTRUCTIONS:
• The students will prepare an oral (speaking) elevator pitch.
• No visual aids are used in the video (only speaking).
• Time limit: Minimum: 20 seconds. Maximum 30 seconds.
• The final elevator pitch MUST be one take, continuous, non-stop.
• The elevator pitch must include all 7 steps in the model we used in class.
• Students must use the platform “Flipgrid” to record and upload their work.
• Record your video in a quiet place.
• Do NOT use any background music.
• Students must appear at all times in the video.
EVALUATION:
• The teacher will evaluate, using a rubric, on the following criteria:
1. Communication, 2. Grammar, 3. Vocabulary, 4. Pronunciation, 5. Instructions.
Deadline: Thursday, June 17th – Monday, June 21st, at 20:00 (8 pm).
