Final Capstone Update

Since now and the last capstone update that I made, I have gotten a ton of work
done. In the last update I made, I stated that I needed to work more on my
website, and that is what most of my time in this project has gone into since then.
My progress on the website wasn’t saving for some reason even though I clicked
publish. It was also pretty clear when I reviewed my website that I didn’t really
know what I was doing or how the website worked. So after careful consideration,
I completely started from scratch on weebly and created a new website. I was
very scared to do so, and my friend told me to just keep going on the original
website. However, that is a decision that I am very happy that I made. It took
some time to get into the hang of it, but I got it. Something I do regret is I feel like
I could’ve used my time better. I used to make a lot of YouTube videos when I was
younger and something I encountered a lot was issues with copyright. Over the
years, the rules have become much more extensive and strict. At the start of this
project the idea of that was something that popped into mind. I didn’t expect it to
happen, bur sadly my fears came true. My reads video got a copyright claim. I was
pretty upset and I still am as I don’t think I violated any of the copyright rules, but
it is what it is. I have more videos that are ready to upload too. I have a video of
my progression in striking over a couple of months where I just complied some
clips together that I have taken over a period of time. I want to avoid the
copyright situation as best as I can, so I will upload all of my videos right before I
present my final product, so just in case any of that happens, I have myself some
time. The Petr Yan video that I was working on was very difficult and a lot of the
edits I made were warped over each other and the footage and audio was laggy. I
decided to just scratch the video and move on. I was disappointed to do so, but in
doing so, I decided to put effort into other things related to the project. I got a lot
of my assignments done for this and uploaded them to the site and instead of
dwelling on my reads video being taken down, I used it as an opportunity to make
it better and that’s what I did. I will upload that and the other videos soon and I
will also soon be presenting my project. I am extremely nervous, but also excited.
This was easily the hardest school project that I have ever had to do. I am ready to
present.
