Nghĩa: (the use)

- “the” : chỉ sự vật hiện tượng mà ng nghe/ nói đều biết tới

Bất quy tắc:

Dùng “the” khi:
1. trước SS nhất: the best man

2. the + tính từ: nhóm người có cùng đặc điểm

The + tên quốc gia có nhiều vùng lãnh thổ

Không dùng mạo từ khi (Zero article)

2. Tên đỉnh núi: Fuji mountain
3. Hồ nước: Xuan Huong lake
4. Tên đường: Nguyen Thi Ranh street
5. Bữa ăn nói chung: eat dinner
6. Tước hiệu + tên: President Biden

7. Phương tiện: by bus, by car…
8. Mùa: in winter, in spring…
9. Play+ Môn thể thao: play football
10. Đến nơi chốn (school/ hospital/ home)
Go to school: đi học với vai trò là học sinh
go to the school: đến trường nhưng ko phải là học sinh
Go to hospital: bệnh nhân

Sau danh từ có mệnh đề quan hệ thì dùng “the” để bổ nghĩa cho danh từ
