Teacher Leadership Experiences and Future Goals

● Lead Club Advisor: Drama Club, Imagination Creation


● Lead Exploratorium Instructor (tinkering studio/computer lab).
● Dream Up to Space Project Leader: For this project, I lead students to work
collaboratively to use the engineering design process to design, test, and submit
their own proposal for an experiment that can be run on the International Space
Station. After presenting their experiment to a panel of judges at College of the
Canyons, my 5th and 6th graders were one of the few groups selected and
invited to the Kennedy Space Center to witness the launch of their experiment in
person.

I will develop my leadership in Working Collaboratively with the Community

○ GOAL: Develop awareness of the community we live in.
○ RATIONALE: There are many benefits to organizing a community
service project, including social awareness and responsibility (Top

○ OBJECTIVES: Organize a class wide community service project.

○ GOAL: Assist new teachers in building high-performing,


self-managing classrooms focused on social emotional learning.
○ RATIONALE: Capturing Kids Hearts suggests that social emotional
well being leads to increased student achievement.
○ NBPTS: Proposition 1: Teachers are Committed to Students and
their Learning
○ TLMD: Domain 1. Fosters a Collaborative Culture to Support

○ OBJECTIVES: Serve on the school wide Capturing Kids Hearts

○ GOAL: Serve as a mentor for student teachers.
○ RATIONALE: Serving as a mentor teacher can inspire future
educators and allow the mentor teacher to grow professionally.
