1. Google
• Estimated 1,100,000,000 unique monthly visitors
• Originally known as BackRub.
• A search engine that started development in 1996 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page as
a research project at Stanford University to find files on the Internet.

To enter the world wide web (www), you need to have either of these two:

Step 1. Open the page first using Google Chrome and enter the texts or keywords in the search
bar pointed by the red arrow to find relevant information.
Step 3. Click the first search result inside the red box and copy the information about
COVID-19 in your English activity notebook.

B. Using Uniform Resource Locator (URL)
This time, you will research using Uniform Resource Locator or URL. URL is the page
address that you will find in the long bar at the top of your Web browsers.

pointed by the red arrow if you are using a cell phone.
Step 4. Read the content of the page and write 5 unfamiliar words that you have
encountered in your English activity notebook.
Step 5. Click the Back Button as pointed by the red arrow to go back to the Home Page.

using Google. If you wish to gather more information, you are free to explore more by following the
same steps.

Instructions: Search for your favorite place here in Calbayog. List down things why you like it and
the new discovery/ discoveries of the place that makes you more excited to visit
when pandemic ends soonest. If you have the chance to print a photo of the place
you can paste it also here but if none, it’s just okay.
Note: Do the same process with what you did in the example, just change the topic you want to
find.
