Dear Parents,

As you are well aware Flames of Justice Club is functioning as the Girl Up, which is a
United Nations Foundation initiative, to contribute to the Global Movement for Gender
Equality.

This Club was formed to give the opportunity to the students to understand the importance
of gender parity, and contribute to society by pursuing meaningful Social Service.

We are happy to inform you that this Club has gained prominence over the year and the
members of this club are working for the betterment of the society and the upliftment of
the underprivileged.

To help the underprivileged, The Flames of Justice Club has come up with a project of
Economic Emancipation Campaign. The details of this project are attached at Appendix
‘A’ of this circular.

We request you to support this campaign as it will not only motivate our students in their
efforts to help the society.

Appendix ‘A’ of Circular No. 492-gdgps-2020
dated 23 October 2020

The impact of COVID-19 is visible in various sectors of our economy, and extensively in
day-to-day activities. The underprivileged have been affected significantly, with job losses,
lack of food, money and proper sanitation.

To help the underprivileged, the Flames of Justice Club has launched an Economic
Emancipation Campaign, which shall take place in the form of two projects:

1. Diya Project: Diyas will be purchased from poor artisans who operate in the
Chinhat Area, Lucknow, will be packed and sold to raise money for further social service.
The diyas are made of pure mud, and are being sold in packs of 10, for Rs. 100/- per
pack.
2. Candle Project: Scented Candles will be made by underprivileged families residing
in the Chinhat Area, and will be sold, wherein a major percentage of profit will be given to
the families, and the small part will be retained by Flames of Justice for further social work.
The scented candles, of capacity 45 ml, will be sold in two scents: jasmine and
lavender, at Rs. 50 per candle.
For the Candle Project, we are happy to announce that Flames of Justice has
collaborated with Sarthak Foundation, which is a Non-Governmental Organisation.
The Candle Project is not centred around any festival, and the orders will be supplied based
on production and availability. Rest assured, all orders will be supplied.

The Diya Project is specifically for Diwali, and orders will close once the Festival of Lights
comes to an end.

If you wish to order diyas or candles, you need to fill the following registration form,
specifying the quantity as well.

showcase the design and look. In the Candles video, two candles are visible. We will be
supplying the paraffin wax candle, of 45 ml capacity.

NB: Videos will be sent in the Class group through whatsapp.

The diyas and candles will need to be picked up from the school, the date will be
communicated shortly, and the money will be paid in cash, on spot. An e-Receipt will be
issued, which will be sent to your email address.
