The negative points regarding fire arrangement are as follows:

 The fire risk assessment was not present in the company which indicated negligence of
this hazard and no fire related hazards were identified eventually.
 The company was not carrying out any fire drills from 4 years, it was carried out last in
2018 which shows negative behaviour of company towards fire arrangement.
 Fire drills are not considered necessary in the company because the MD thinks that it is a
waste of time and disrupts work.
 The management does not happily and easily agrees to carry out the risk assessment as
the word ‘reluctantly’ was used in the scenario for their agreement for fire drill and this
is a negative point.
 No specific training was carried out related to fire in the company which shows negativity
in the fire arrangement of the company.
 There was no official fire marshal appointed while carrying out the fire drills which shows
the lack of interest of the management in the fire drills.
 Workers were unofficially taking over the duties of the fire marshal in the fire drill which
indicates unprofessionalism and lack of training.
 MD’s comments shows that he is only concerned about the company’s financial progress
and cares the least about the fire drill.
 There was no emergency training or reporting system regarding the accidents related to
fire.
 There was a constant chaos in the assembly point during the fire drill which shows that
the workers were not given any pre instructions regarding the fire drill and thus it is also
a negative point.

4. It helps to make sure that all fire related equipment is safe and effective in use like alarms
and fire extinguishers.
