A. GENERAL CLASSROOM REQUIREMENTS
1. A Signboard is posted with the following
identification showing in the entrance of the
room:
a. Grade/Year and Section occupying the
room
b. Name of the Teacher handling the class
2. Framed copies of the class program and
teacher’s program are displayed on the door
board to the classroom at an adult-eye level
3. On the wall (that is facing the class), the
classroom chalkboard is located. Installed at
a height that is in accordance with the
maximum comfortable reach of the children
to the top of the board.

4. Above the chalkboard, a framed portrait of
the President of the Republic of the
Philippines shall be displayed prominently at
the center
5. Flanked on one side at a lower level is a
framed photo (for the month or week) and on

6. Framed pictures of two National Heroes
mounted properly, one per side of the front
wall of the classroom.
7. Framed Pambansang Awit & Panunumpa sa
Watawat (readable, mounted, covered, &
properly displayed at a side area of the front
wall)
8. Framed and properly hanged/mounted
Vision, Mission, and Core Values are found at
the left side above the chalkboard.

9. Valuable educational quotations can be found

at the wall of the room, properly painted,
mounted, or framed.
10.A demo table is located at the center near the
chalkboard.
11.The bulletin boards and tack boards, as well
as charts, are placed on the walls at the sides
or back side of the room.
12.The Bulletin Boards are updated with
relevant posts by subject.
13.The attendance chart and the DepEd Forms
rack are found at the corner of the room near
the entrance door.
14.The teachers’ table and chair are located at
the rear of the room with (Daily Lesson
Plan/DLL, CG, Textbooks/References
15.The cabinets are located at the rear or sides
of the room.
16.Framed letters of the alphabets mounted at
the top part of the chalkboard.
17.Attendance Chart is located near the entrance
door of the room.
18.Supervisory Corner is located near the
teacher’s table with the DLP/DLL,
Observation Booklet/Template/Tool.
19.A Class EMIS with data is posted on the
bulletin board, including the budget of
lessons per quarter.
20.A mini library is situated in one corner of the
classroom with the following materials:
 Set of Encyclopedia
 Dictionaries (English & Filipino)
 Globe (bigger size)
 Almanac
 Atlas
 Thesaurus
 Novels/Pocketbooks
 Newspapers with newsstand

23.Students’ Portfolio/Outputs are properly
displayed, arranged, and labeled.
24.Chairs are properly arranged for easy
mobility.
25.Chairs and tables are well-painted, free from
vandalisms.
26.Broom stands/pedestal with cover with
brooms and other cleaning materials
27.Personality Corner with mirror and combs
can be found at the side of the room.
28.A First Aid Kit is found with complete
accessories (bandage, band aid, betadine,
scissors, flashlights for emergencies,
thermometer, and medicines for headaches,
diarrhea, fever, flu, etc.)
29.Potted Plants are appropriately placed and
well-trimmed, not obstructing the
passageway.
30.Window curtains are placed with appropriate
color and length, where top portion only of
the windows is covered for proper ventilation.
31.General appearance of the classroom is clean,
order, & neat.
32.A handwashing facility is found within the
room with water and soap, toothbrush,
toothbrush racks, glasses, etc.
33.Cabinets for IMs are well maintained, and
properly labeled/indexed.
34.A display area of learner’s outputs are
updated, readable, and properly displayed.
35.Chalkboards/whiteboards have markers/
chalk, and eraser
36.A water dispenser with potable water is
provided for students and teachers.
37.IEC Materials for emergencies such as
earthquakes, typhoons, fire, etc. are posted in
the classroom.
38.Emergency hotlines are posted inside or
outside the classroom.
39.List of the rights of the child is posted in the
corner or bulletin board.
40. Recognition Corner of students’
achievements can be found in the classroom.
B. HEALTH RELATED REQUIREMENTS
1. Segregated trash bins with cover are properly
labeled and placed in strategic place inside or
outside the classroom.

2. A functional Comfort Room with

handwashing facility, water for flushing,
covered trash bins, soap, daily cleaners, and
IEC materials is found or
assigned/designated for the class.
3. Health Corner (with potable water, glasses,
mirror, toothbrush rack for elementary.
4. Rubbing Alcohol is available in the classroom.
5. A Thermal Scanner for the classroom is
available and functional.
6. Health protocol precautionary measures are
in place in the classroom.
