I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the students must be able


to:
1. perform basic constructions in geometry using
compass and straightedge
2. apply knowledge of basic construction to draw
geometric figures
A. Content Standards Demonstrates understanding of key concepts of geometry of
shapes and sizes, and geometric relationships.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to create models of plane figures and
formulate and solve accurately authentic problems involving
sides and angles of a polygon.
C. Most Essential Learning The learner uses a compass and straightedge to bisect line
Competencies (MELC) segments and angles and

construct perpendiculars and parallels. (M7GE-IIId-e-1)
