of Law, Enforcement Administration, Main Campus, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro,
Philippines. May 2022. Level of Awareness of the Students of the College Criminal
Justice Education on Republic Act 11549.

This research was conducted to determine the profile of the students of College of

Criminal Justice Education; their level of awareness on Republic Act 11549; and test if

there is a significant relationship between the demographic profile of respondents and

their level of awareness on RA 11549.

There were two hundred (200) respondents of the study. The descriptive

correlation method of research is used in data gathering and then data gathering

instrument used in this study was in the form of questionnaire. The information collected

in this study was tabulated, tallied and analysed using descriptive statistics.

The study found out that most numbers of respondents are male and from the

course of BS Criminology with an age of around 21-30. Their level of awareness on RA

11549; basic concept of the law, amendments, and implications to recruitment process are

“very high”. The profile of respondents in terms age, sex, and program have significant

relationship with their level of awareness on Republic Act 11549; basic concept of the

law, amendments, and implications to recruitment process. On the other hand, in terms of

year, there is significant relationship to basic concept of the law and implications to

recruitment process but no significant relationship when it comes to amendments.
