and we are going to learn a brand new
learning as well. Please listen and
cooperate in every activity that will be
given.

B. Motivation

Do you love to listen to a very loud (the children will do what is being told)
sound? (Yes. /No.) Why? (Yes, I enjoy
listening to loud music. / No, I don’t
because it is disturbing. It is noisy.

C. Presentation/Discussion

This morning we will be learning about


protecting oneself from a very loud
sound.
LOUD SOUND the level of sound is very
high and it can be easily heard.
Someone or something that is loud
produces a lot of noise.

5 Examples of Loud Sound

 Fireworks
 Live music gig
 Night club
 Fire alarm.
 Lawnmower

Loud noise can damage cells and


membranes in the cochlea. Listening to
loud noise for a long time can
overwork hair cells in the ear, which
can cause these cells to die. The
hearing loss progresses as long as the
exposure continues. Harmful effects
might continue even after noise
exposure has stopped.
